So it's fair game to compare how it feels to Final Fantasy XI, an online game, then, right?LOL.
You are comparing FF7/FFX etc, to an ONLINE MULTIPLAYER game?
Are you really serious?
They are 2 completely different kind of games.
FFXIV doesn't feel like a ff game?
Well thank you, captain obvious.
This is NOT a ff game.
It only has the name, the "lore", typical ff monsters, but it is NOT, not even close, and will NEVER be a ff game.![]()
This is the state of every MMO, You pay to keep things changing. So the game is only not being developed after the final patch before server go offline.

Just wait a couple of months for the prices to be halved and halved again.
This. There is no fix promised nor incoming in 2.4.
The potential doublung of the wards gives less than 1% of the playerbase a chance to buy it. After that almost everyone will never ever get a chance to buy or even be in a house unless they join one of the few lucky FCs.
The pricing is literally one of the smallest problems here.
If you unsubscribe, you'll always win. It doesn't matter if your argument is illogical or not. If you whine or not.
They're trying to not only make their idea of a great game but also profit and sustainability. If they're not making you part with your money, they lose and you win.
Hell, everyone else loses too. You're not part of the in game economy anymore. You're not buying, you're not selling, you're no longer apart of the community.
Think before you say something to someone who is considering the prospect of leaving, we all stand to lose something out of it.
No Some people should just unsub and stay awayIf you unsubscribe, you'll always win. It doesn't matter if your argument is illogical or not. If you whine or not.

The housing yes is stupidly priced..On my server a large personal house is 80m gil. That is totally ridiculous. How can you charge a single person the same price you charged a group of people for.
They offer little to no information about the next step in relic progression, asking us to work together to find it out. Problem is that time wasted on this trying to find information equals out to money wasted since it is pay to play. Plus, like every other time they patch the game, many people are getting 90k'd repeatedly today.
But your complaining they don't spoon feed you information more than they already do? LOL for the love of god the entitlement these days is insane. How dare they suggest you figure things out on your own!
Newer players to MMO games will likely draw from their experiences playing FPS games, GTA, Dragon Age, Skyrim, etc.. and they will evaluate a MMO based on that criteria. But other online games (and offline RPGs) are designed to be picked up, played for maybe 5 months and then abandoned for when the next big game comes along. A Veteran MMO gamer knows that the experience of the game is stretched out over years, and if crafted properly, it leaves players with some of the best gaming experiences to be found anywhere. This is the problem most content is solo and you get your group action from a cross-server queueing tool. This is not like older MMOs where servers developed real communities. It's more like MacDonald's Drive-Thru, where you queue up, do your run, then never meet those people again.
I have no issue with them making us find out stuff on our own, simply pointing that out as another example of SE changing what they had previously said.

As many others have stated, just cancel your subscription and move on. Thats what im doing, cutting my damn losses on this game have a few days left so got to see all the BS on the patch notes. Really pathetic, I enjoyed all the fresh ideas they talked about and enjoyed the beginning of this game. Sadly this game isnt for hardcore or casuals, its for the gil sellers and buyers... Hell square is better off selling personal houses on the mog station for 5$ small, 10$ med, 25$ large per character...This game has become a joke.
