Personal house + linkshells = FC without actions and chest

It seems to me that housing was a very important part of FC. Now all but actions can be done outside FC. I see that most of houses were bought by players and it seems to me that FC system lost most of it's benefits.

The current houses aren't the "personal houses" since those are getting released in 2.4 and you still need to be part of a house-owning FC in order to buy an individual house right now.

Incorrect. I haven't been in an FC in some time and I own a house now.

This tells us that what we have now is the personal housing setup and they don't have plans to change that. Yoshi's post simply says they'll be adding more wards next patch, not a new system of 'real' personal housing.

You don't need to be in a FC to buy a house(you need to have ranked your Grand Company up for personal housing, FC rank doesn't matter), your FC doesn't need to have a house. Please read more carefully before spreading false information.

anyways, @OP; I think it's fine that housing isn't limited to FCs only now.
I'm sure many players would still rather join a FC with a house than spend their own gil on a personal house. Or they'd like to join a FC to have a house in two different zones, etcetc. Most of the plots are sold out already anyways so anyone who hasn't logged in this morning are still SoL for a bit unless they join a FC.
It'd be nice if FCs had a few more uses, but some players don't want to feel too pressured into sticking with a fixed group when they play and that's fine. More options for different playstyles is a good thing.

You realize that link you posted is saying the exact opposite of what you're claiming, right? Please see the 8,000 rage posts on the forums right now if you still have questions.

Leaders and members of free companies that already own estates can also choose to purchase plots as individuals.

Which should probably be removed then.

I wrote about other thing - just now we see less reasons to join FC than before patch. And i don't see a reason to buy private room in FC house - it has no functional options.
