I disagree, I love the way the gold looks, though different shades would still be great. I'm way more excited for the pure white, though, since it actually matches the white and white-accented equipment that's already in the game.

The fact that the items are untradeable is interesting, though, and makes it seem unlikely getting them will be tied to crafting...maybe they'll be purchasable with Soldiery tomes or Allied seals, since people will start running out of things to spend those on soon?

That Pure White dye is exactly what I'd hoped Snow White would be. I can't wait for these (and hopefully more!) metallic dyes.

I'm calling it now. They'll either be 9999 allied seals each, or *** recipes that require fifty different *** recipes to make and take weeks to farm all the materials.

Seals maybe or something else related. seems alot of people are ignoring the Unique marker on these dyes XD

Hopefully it will just be a book we buy similar to the glamour prisms recipes for each DoH. But, the text is green so it will most likely be a 3 star craft with soldiery tomes ingredients.

Dye should not be expensive, or hard to obtain. It is a one time use item that you could end up deciding to change at any time. Dye should always been relatively inexpensive.

In a recent live-letter Yoshi acknowledged that he wants easier ways for vanity to be obtained. Hopefully he'll think of these dyes as well.

I can think of no easier way, really, then to make them Gold Saucer prizes or guaranteed dungeon drops.

As for the dyes, I think they're quite fantastic, and the metallic dyes especially have me interested for potential future dye types and textures.

A small part of me is really looking forward to wearing an Augmented Heavy Wolfram Cuirass dyed Metallic Gold.
