Other MMOs/Games with good housing systems?

Just to clarify this is not a "I'm Quitting" post as I have no plans to.

What would be some recommendations of other good games people have tried with housing systems in them? The personal room decoration has given me the itch to design my own house at this point and I feel the need to do so. I'm not opposed to games that require microtransactions for this if the price is reasonable. I've heard DCUO added lairs in recently and I'm tempted to look into that. I've also heard that SW:TOR has housing now, but is it good? Also the game doesn't necessarily have to be an MMO as long as it has something similar. Skyrim kind of springs to mind but the housing there really isn't customizable. Thanks iin advance!

Honestly, the Sims.

I would say ArcheAge, but a lot of people hate the fact that that game has open world pvp.

I think the "sims - castaways" has a better implemented housing system than this game.
Personally I loved ever quest 2s housing system. You could still see your house out in the real world, but it was instanced inside so everyone could buy the same house without losing that plot

Almost every MMO out there has a better housing system than this one. Everquest 2, LotRO, SW:tOR, FFXI. Heck, even WoW's farm is better personal housing than we get here.

I've watched people play the Sims. I guess I just don't see the appeal of it. I might give it a try just for the housing aspect of it.

Wildstar on the other hand. I keep of it but not much about it. As far as housing is there a level requirement (or similar) to access it?

Kinda, but it happens in layers. On reaching level 15 players get a quest in Thayd if you're playing as Exile that is. Its the same quest as Dominion though. To talk to the Protostar housing agent and that's it for the land and away you go to either spend one gold for the small house or build your own. I say the level requirement happens in layers because certain decor does require you to be at a certain level as does placing certain FABkits. At level 40 if I remember right is when players can opt to buy the large house upgrade if they're using the default house. In the extreme end of things certain decor and FABkits are locked behind clearing certain content to buy or place.

If you're more curious I made a small tour video of ours. Its very simplistic really as of now and my only claim to Minecraft fame is building the outdoor BBQ and bar area and placing the staircase and flooring tiles on the second floor of the house. ^o^

The housing in Wildstar is TOP NOTCH. The amount of freedom and customization is amazing, and to top it off, it is unlocked at level 14 for free.

For wildstar you unlock the house when you get to capital city via the quest to go there, can't remember it's exact level 14 or something

Sims 3, maybe, but with Sims 4 taking away customized textures even FF14 is almost better - okay, so I can't place walls or windows but at least I can dye my goddamn desk purple.

AION's housing system is fantastic in my own opinion. I enjoyed that aspect of the game.
