In the patch notes it says:

Players now have a chance to obtain alexandrite by completing FATEs while equipped with a relic weapon novus or a relic weapon nexus.

Is it a misstype or does the next relic step contain more use of alexandrites?

Cause otherwise it would be a rather odd addition since people who are gathering alexandrites are still only on the animus grade.

I think it just means that you can stockpile. Perhaps they'll have another purpose in a later step.

It's so you can re-roll your Novus/Nexus if you want to. The patch note right after that one says you can re-do the infusion process to change your stats.

The question i have regarding this is does that mean we get to keep our alexandrite? Because we can already re-roll at the Goblin in Central Than but at the expense of the Alexandrite + Materia.
