    Thanks for the quick fix.

    However, ever since this fix a new issue with combat has popped up.

    My attacks aren't registering on visual queue and require repeating*, that and it appears that my auto-attacks are somehow overriding my actual attack animations and cancelling moves. The best way to replicate it would be playing with lag, however, everything else is running fine (loading players, enemy, zone/texture generation, data on MB, regular movement and interactions) and is only an issue in combat. It's been like this ever since the controller issue fix.

    *Attacks will hit but no damage will be dealt, or in the case of combo string actions the next one will not highlight and will be delayed.

    Glad I am not just imagining this. The same thing is happening to me in all areas of the game, from crafting to gathering, to housing, gardening, accessing and removing items from the FC chest, fates, hunting, dungeons....the game is quickly becoming unplayable and this need addressed. I am constantly having to re-press buttons for everything I do, even though I see the animation on screen that shows that the game is registering that I pressed the button. Like AstralChaos said, it feels like a constant lag or delay, but is only affecting button-press recognition. It's especially infuriating in dungeons and is severely hurting my ability to keep my rotations flowing.

    This has only been happening since the last emergency maintenance.

    Indeed, I can also report a lot of strange happenings as the hot fix. The controller issue appears to be fixed however it seems that my entire FC has been in agreement that known AOE flags durring a lot of instances are showing up after the attack has already hit or in some some situations where you are supposed to be inside a protected area (examples: Garuda EX fight to avoid arena wide aoe, Dzmael Darkhold: standing in the crystal light to avoid eyes on me, Syrcus Tower: standing on the raised platforms to avoid one of the boss' aoe attacks) your character will clearly be in the protected zone yet still take damage. This is clearly not a connection issue as too many people with varying connections speeds in different areas are reporting it all at once.

    I myself play on PS3 but many of my FC mates are across all platforms and experience the same oddities.

    This is the first I've heard of such a thing.

    Is it common for this issue to only affect one game (my other games work fine online), more specifically only one aspect of that game, in my case just combat related actions (as briefly explained in my above post)?

    Also, this issue only popped up after an emergency maintenance fixing controller issues, everything was fine before that, it can't be pure coincidence, especially not seeing as multiple people are having the same, or very similar issues.

    This does have a lot of lag-like things going on (delay, repeat actions, etc), but I don't think lag causes auto-attacks to override moves and cancel them, and in a very specific case with my MNK, if I use Perfect Balance and it happens as I activate it, I don't get the Perfect Balance effect at all and it still goes on GCD; with magic classes when casting if I try to start casting another spell too fast it'll sometimes just get "interrupted" repeatedly until I leave it for a second, sometimes it will just do that even if I don't try to cast again too fast.

    Again, it has a lot of lag-like things that I've experienced before, but there's also very buggy things thrown in.

    Yes, and it can even improve or get worse based on what zone you are in at the time.

    Raist has been trying to get more people to contact their isp's about this issue for months, so that punitive and corrective measures can be implemented against the intermediary networks that are the source of the problem, however people keep brushing him off and blaming SE for a situation that is outside of their control.

    This... clear and simple. Your ISP has...

    Again, not talking about your local ISP. Look at...

    As being discussed in the other thread you posted...

    If they are connecting to the Canadian Data...

    Guess you missed that it is just 3 ISP's betwixt...

    Exactly the point that has been made over and...

    in a lot of cases it isn't your ISP that is...
    SE has nothing to do with the infrastructure and...

    need to diagnose your route to the servers in...

    In many (if not most) cases it is an issue...

    The lag itself occurs because the route is pressently congested and data is slowly moving through

    That the action appears to be ignored or overridden by auto-attack is because the route is actually dropping data sent/recieved to/from the SE servers, so it is never acknowledged on the servers end that an ability was used.

    My controller has actually gotten worse (Xbox for PC) since the fix, and my character switches from walking to running spasmically. I have to try to catch it in run phase and then use autorun, that seems to work but it still VERY irritating. I also noticed CRAZY lag yesterday in dungeons, worse than ive seen in a long time.

    This has been happening to me alot.
    Randomly, I'll start spazzing out and running/walking in one direction, and it's really screwed me up more than once.
