    Ah good catch. I just looked and mine no longer shows a spirit bond percentage either. I was at 100% spiritbond before the patch. I just got it about a week ago and it stuck in my head since I though to myself that may be useful for the next upgrade. I think all we are doing is secretly spiritbonding them again and SE didnt want to make it seem that simple .

    either exactly this, or else the brighter the light, the higher chance it will exhibit a change xD

    It's either a simple SBing , or it's atma 2.

    And given the amount of lame mystery surrounding this, I'm guess it is something lame and unoriginal and recycled but SE just didn't want to let us know that xD.
