I can confirm that hunts (at least A hunts) give you nothing.Maybe it's based on length of time in a party... someone would need to test of HUNTs actually provide anything, or if Failing in a primal that would normally take 9 minutes to clear rewards anything more for taking 60 minutes through fails. Or if maybe they decided that a set amount of time = each dungeon, and clearing them faster/slower would simply mean more gains/min.
I got the most from doing Main Scenario... but haven't seen New Star brightness yet.

The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.
Just finished ST and got "Blinding Light" myself, it must be based on amount of time spent inside the instance because my group blew through it as fast as I ever have.Syrcus Tower makes Novus "shine with the light of a Newborn Star".
So seems Syrcus grind is the best immediate option.
So far i have seen:
Feeble<Gentle<Brilliant<Blinding<Newborn Star.
Feeble from Fates, and some Trials.
Gentle from some Trials.
Brilliant from Expert Roulette.
Blinding confirmed in T6 & T7.
Newborn Star in ST.

Just completed a Tam-Tara Deepcroft, got the message "The Artemis Bow Novus emits a blinding light!", guess its a start.

Gotta do St when I get home then!Syrcus Tower makes Novus "shine with the light of a Newborn Star".

Anybody repeated the same content yet to see if the message changes? I'm guessing this:
means each thing has a daily/weekly reset, and these first messages are the "increased" amount after reset.A weapon’s soul attunement level will rise by a set amount determined by the activity being performed. This amount, however, may increase each time a certain period of time passes.
10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

So no gil sinks like buying a DET 4 materia that costs 800k a pop?
If no gil sinks then hurrahh!!! I rather have a grind fest than a gil sink really. I failed a sh** ton of those Det 4's. Ugh.
This step looks fun. Shame about having to do everything else before I can get anywhere near.
Has anyone looked at the stat change/reset possibility? If so, could one get to novus and start on nexus whilst gradually resetting stats?

You need to redo the full novus thing to reset stats if I understand it correctly
I accidentally melded 3 skillspeed instead of spellspeed cause I was tired and didn't read
and if I want to remove them I need to meld EVERYTHING again.
...Maybe my character hits faster with the staff now though
According to the Novus/Nexus reset description, you don't have to re-do the whole process, all stats will be transferred to a clean sphere scroll, so then you remove each stat individually, re-meld the new stats and re-apply them to the Novus/Nexus.
If this is correct, this is the BEST relic upgrade yet.
Is this true?I sure hope you're right

Just finished a Syrcus Tower and got "The Artemis Bow Novus emits a blinding light!", only did 2 things since logging in and starting the "Soulglaze" quest, Tam-Tara (Expert Roulette) and Syrcus Tower and both gave the same message.
