    Why is the cost of medium houses now DOUBLE than how it was for FC housing??

    When FC housing came out in 2.1, medium houses and large houses costed rispectively 3.75x and 12.5x more than a small house (on my server the starting prices for each size were 20kk, 70kk and 250kk): while prices went down in time, those multipliers always remained costant.

    But now, medium houses and large houses cost rispectively 7x and 17.5x more than a small house (on my server the prices are 4kk, 30kk and 70kk), which means that the price for medium houses has actually been doubled.

    WHY???

    Good thing that, unlike 2.1, small houses have now an extra floor and that Yoshida said that personal housing prices will be "far more affordable"...

    Kinda the point in the high prices is exactly that Satia, thank you.

    RMT. We hate it, it's a b**** dealing with it in game, and is one of the reasons the houses are so expensive. Besides the prices will go back down to half in a month. So for now it's going to be expensive.

    Are you looking at the new Wards? New Wards always start at the top price and fall to the same as the other Wards.

    What is wrong is that this makes makes bigger houses even more unaffordable for no reason whatsoever, even if prices went down to half in time (personally I couldn't afford a medium one even in 3 or more months with such prices lol).

    Oh btw, funny joke but no, I haven't and never will buy gil from RMT.

    Look at it as Small Plots got a 50% cut in price and large plots got a 30% cut in price in 2.3. The initial prices for the 7th and 8th wards are the same as the 6th's.

    After comparing the starting prices of housing for both the 2.1 and 2.38 patch notes, housing prices have indeed dropped with the exception of medium sized plots. Furthermore, the period of time it takes for 2.38's price to drop to have is 30 days whereas the 2.1's price drop took 90 days. Thus, housing prices will drop signifigantly at a much faster rate.

    Just for comparisons, I'll use the smallest amounts;
    2.1 prices
    Small 4,000,000 >> 2,000,000 (90 days)
    Medium 15,000,000 >> 7,500,000 (90 days)
    Large 50,000,000 >> 25,000,000 (90 days)
    Asura / Belias / Brynhildr / ...

    2.38 prices
    Small 2,000,000 >> 1,000,000 (30 days)
    Medium 15,000,000 >> 7,500,000 (30 days)
    Large 35,000,000 >> 17,500,000 (30 days)
    Asura / Belias / Brynhildr / ...
    2.1 prices
    Small 8,000,000 >> 4,000,000 (90 days)
    Medium 30,000,000 >> 15,000,000 (90 days)
    Large 100,000,000 >> 50,000,000 (90 days)

    This personal housing implementation is horrible. The prices are way to high and they should've opened new areas for it. I think we were mislead greatly on this. I was expecting a small house to be around 850k. - 10 points ffxiv. The ball is in your court now.
