Nothing makes me happier than SE getting destroyed by the very people they cater to over all other regions.

Funny how when we voice our problems with the system to SE we get ignored, but when the Japanese community do it, suddenly sh*t just got real for them.. ¬¬
Also legacy servers aren't so rich anymore, they already put in so many gil sinks that we're all poor again so I don't know why our prices are still this high. Everything on the market board on my server is crashing, prices are going down in chunks cause no one can afford to buy anything.
But ya.. only thing interesting about this patch was the /hug & /slap emote.. ¬¬ ..Whens 2.4 coming out again?
Well Japanese players have been complaining about server issues for a while now. The fact this bomb was dropped on them has them swarming in a very vicious way. Serves them right for trying to "implement content desired by players" while really they are just trying to make a quick fix to overly vacant housing zones because of the lack of FCs owning them and filtering out some of the money that has been pumped into the economy.
This is the problem though. With your gil transfer you may have become utterly broke. However, someone else has been gathering a good amount of wealth. The amount of gil within the community is massive. The problem though is that the gil is resting with just a very small portion of the players. To that extent, these housing prices may be understandable. It'll be a quick way to get a huge portion of the gil out of the economy which is currently resting on the balances of the richer players.
However, in the long run it's not going to change a thing. As many of these players gathered their wealth by a better understanding of game economics. Their rate of income is higher. They're driving the supply/demand chain. Whether it be on crafted goods, sale runs, etc.
And due to that, SE trying to suck the gil out of their pockets repeatedly isn't going to change a thing. As by the next patch, they'll be on top of the gil charts again. The wealth will not magically spread. And although it's questionable whether a single player will ever truly need a medium or large plot (the cost of furniture to fill that is quickly too great anyway), even a small plot for roughly 3 - 5 million is still by far out of reach for most. The number of players who struggle to obtain 1 million gil in this game is astonishing. Making personal housing like this just another grindfest.
Wait, FC houses and Private homes share lots?Well Japanese players have been complaining about server issues for a while now. This is absolutely nothing new. MMO developers have always had the tendency to turn a blind eye towards players not from within their own region. In numerous cases even just outsourcing the game in other regions. So well yeh, it could always still have been worse.
Well I am sitting on about 17m give or take a few gardening items for sale and I am still waiting to be able to sell my FC's small house so I could buy a bigger one (My FC is solo anyhow, me+friend, probably holding onto around 22m between us) It would be nice if Yoshi didn't now just make what I assumed to be a simple thing to do when I got the opportunity to trade/sell my plot (Which was stated as being part of land owning a long time ago) Into what will essentially be a land grab for Medium houses by FC's and Individuals.
Fully expect Yoshida to pull off the mask and reveal he was Tanaka all along in the next Live Letter.
