My Housing Complaint

It's a bad joke, basically now not only do FC's have to compete with people buying personal homes on the same plots of land previously used for FC housing which was already a huge land grab race but also players who wanted a personal house have to compete with FC's for such houses...not to mention how ridiculously limited the amount of plots available already was and will remain being. 2.3million players of which 99.99%+ have zero chance of ever getting a personal house, well done Squeenix for a fail of epic proportions...

Not forgetting the fact it was mentioned a while back that personal housing would NOT be the same price as FC housing which turns out to be a lie since not only price is the same but the same plots of land are the ones expected to buy. Now people are being told they have to wait months for a half ass solution which solves almost nothing given how few new plots will be added come 2.4 vs player numbers.

Just joining an FC with a house is not the solution because the whole point of personal housing is you won't lose your home if you do not get along with members of your FC especially when your only using that FC for having a room in their house making that outcome more likely and/or having to ditch your friends to go join another FC with one. You could also have your own place to decorate how you want without risk of losing your items and you could plant what you wanted in your own garden, it was also said that would be cheaper than FC housing which was a lie. Hell, even FFXI Mog Housing was a million times better than what they have done in patch 2.38 and will do in patch 2.4.

Another thing noticed is people blaming server, database and game engine issues for it but if that's true what do you think is going to happen with the expansion which will have a vast amount of new content according to Squeenix yet if they can't even handle this then just how much strain is the expansion going to put on the system? What of any future expansion afterwards or any additional content after that? Surely they plan to upgrade their engine, database systems or server capacity at some stage so why not do so now which would allow you to keep your promises regarding issues such as this while still being able to make use of that additional capability for future endeavors.

Personally I do not put much faith in their engine, database or server limitations excuse though because they have to upgrade eventually so they might as well do it now when they promised something yet are now saying they can't do it without such an upgrade....so upgrade! It is simple as you 'll have to upgrade sooner or later anyways so just do it sooner.

Was looking forward to personal housing but now...

One other thing I will say is if your one of those people who keep posting in housing complaint threads yet claim don't care about it or simply don't like people complaining about this, firstly don't comment or go into the threads you do not care about if what you claim is true and secondly you would complain about something you cared about if something happened to that so don't begrudge and belittle the complaints about housing which is something a lot of other people care about just because you care more for other aspects of the game.

Each person cares about different things and there is nothing wrong with complaining about this anymore so than your complaints about hunts, raids, atmas or fates that are constantly having threads pop up complaining about. The people saying if you care about housing so much go play sims, do you realise how stupid you come across when say that? Do you even realise you can apply that same sort of comment to every single aspect/element YOU ever complain about in this game using other games in place of sims for example?
