I see no logical reason that some are against having it be merely a loot lock, like CT/ST, and not a full on content lock. It's a very frustrating and antiquated approach that doesn't jive well with the FC community they want us to foster. This isn't like Dynamis or Einherjar or Salvage in XI where you could enter with different numbers of people, up to a certain cap, so that having more members improves participation and diversity. It's the exact opposite. You need -exactly- 8 players, no more, no less. Those players have to be there every single time, essentially, as any potential temporary replacement is a) in a static of their own and is locked or can't lock themselves or b) only gets to run it with you that once due to the regular static member being unavailable. There is zero flexibility and zero incentive. It blows my mind that an 8-man is even considered a raid these days so preventing people from enjoying paid content w/o loot in a Simon Says mechanic super-dungeon is pretty flabbergasting. Why do we feel the need to cling to decade old ideas about how to handle progression walls and inhibit rapid overgearing? This doesn't need to be WoW, and it shouldn't be. Lootlock only. People who only care about loot will keep only running it once a week. People who want sot play the game can play the game.
