    Please remove lockouts from SCoB.

    As title says.

I understand that we are at the end of this patching cycle, so Sands are being given out like candies in order to bring everyone up to speed.

This is, while mildly annoying, definitely understandable and something that happens in most MMOs nowadays.

However, there is currently no reason why SCoB should have a lockout since ilvl progression pacing is no longer an issue.

Please kindly remove the lockout timer from SCoB so people can practice the harder turns freely - this will not hurt anyone in the slightest, as rewards there are now hardly relevant.

Please do something for the raiders as well. We are not asking much, at this point.

    Thanks.

Having the lockout in place allows raiders to have exclusive, rare equipment. It's just like in the old days; when someone walked into your party decked out in Allagan gear you knew this was someone to respect and pay attention to. High Allagan gear fills that same niche now; I just got my first piece earlier this week and I couldn't be happier. Removing lockouts early would make it far easier to get pieces and cheapen that wonderful feeling.

False, my allagan stuffs never gave me any sort of respect from other who don't do coil in the game yet, like never ever, told be truth I even got once someone who said to me that I should be ashamed for having spell speed on my high allagan grimoire of casting and still using it (was a stone vigil HM roulette).

Almost whole community that mainly does hunts/CT/casual dungeons and stuffs like that don't give a single sh*t about people wearing HA, for a main (and legitimate) reason that they know it will be outdated and useless when the next patch that raise I-level come up.

Here goes your false dreams about stuffs, it will only make yourself happy, don't expect the same hype from other like seeing someone wearing some Byakko's Haidate back in the old days.
That's why coil shouldn't have weekly limit, restricting the entry per week will not prevent raiders to unsubs after their re done with stuffs, it's the huge boredom following in the other 6 days after your cleared coil that will make you unsub.

That's 1 out of....how many? Truth is, it does give a rather nice feed to one's ego, and people do stop and awe everyone once in a while. Plus, that guy who told you to be ashamed of using that book should be ashamed for not knowing that its still BiS because its a ilv 115 weapon, even without the DET.

1 out of thousands of the same kind over the past year, I envy you man if the random pugs re nicer people on NA servers. That's not the case on EU cluster, sadly.

I had one "oh nice stuffs flare" like 2 or 3 months ago from a random guy in a brayflox hm, I was really surprised and thankful for his/her feedback, was cute.

ikr, sadly you can't fight against knowledgeless people, dead end fight.

Back on the topic : my point here is that ffxiv huge and quick vertical progression shouldn't have weekly limitation entry on the only raid content of the game, it's a nonsense that prevent people to have fun and also cancel the usefulness of having more than 8 people in your free company, bad gaming design is bad.

note, I'm going to poison the well : In before "mercenary and selling" replies, put your weapons and pitchforks down, like Kardayel said
people who want sell them already do it
this is kind of stuff that is belong to players, that ever existed in any mmo and not linked to the current bad design of the ffxiv end game scene.

The third turn will be out in a few weeks then the second turn will be unlocked, if you unlocked the loot too soon /a lot/ of raiders will be twiddling their thumbs before third coil.

Unless you were talking about the social lock, meh remove that and I don't think you were lol, but a loot lock of some sort is a good thing at least until the next step is available.

Oh, :P well after the videos and guides start getting posted I suppose they might as well allow a training session (no loot can drop, wont lock anyone out of the dungeon).

I think you are misunderstanding. I am talking baout Second Coil, not Third.

Aren't they already? Those who can clear T9 do so quickly, but it also locks out many of those (few) raiders who'd be willing to help others (even if it's only fc mates). These raiders cannot help those struggling to find a static or want to learn 2nd coil and once 3rd coil is out they are again busy with that. Now would be a good time to unlock 2nd coil, so people can catch up and get ready for 3rd coil.

Oh I was talking in general, for all future and current systems - I think allowing players to run for practice isn't the worst thing (would be nice to be allowed), particularly after the mysterious element is lost after guides are made.

Lol that is true, a lot of the seriously hardcore have already geared their main characters - now that we have Nexus out I suppose they won't be too bored till next Coil. Still would be careful doing that, I mean we already have people mad about housing - now we get the hardcore snowflakes mad too? Not all hardcore raiders act like that, it however seems the safest way to cater to the group is to design like it - you see it a lot in the "even though I get these 20 bis items, I dont want to share 1 of them - all 20 belong to coil and no where else" <- I believe it should be mostly true but being always true is not necessary (it isn't really true atm but I've seen a lot of threads against that, BiS is currently a mix of the end contents).
