I havent posted in forums for like, over half a year. but seriously???

I dont mind that we might have to wait till 2.4 for a plot but honestly, 87.500.000 gil will still be just that in a month time.

my FC barely managed to buy a medium sized estate (which costed 35.000.000 gil) and there were like over 20 of us. And now they expect us to save that kind of gil alone???


I was really looking forward to this personal housing and quite frankly i dont appreciate being lied to

While i don't think Yoshi was expecting to go in this particular direction when he said that, I really doubt that they expect individuals to buy large houses. I'm sure some can, and good for them, but a small house should suffice for a single person, surely.

When they add double the amount of land as now patch 2.4, I imagine that some pieces of land will get time to depreciate to at least half (which will take a month).. unless SE changes something.

While I could buy some land with the current prices they're far less interesting than when I thought it as around 850K lol

Yeah, the quote's 8 months old. If their original plan was as simple as "let's let one person just buy a normal ward plot!", there's little reason it wouldn't have been implemented months ago when housing was introduced at all.

Honestly, this situation seems more "our plans fell through, but we've been holding off so long on letting players purchase personal houses that this is the best we can give them right now"

There are already individuals who own large houses. Even multiple ones, on their alts. Or individuals who have multiple accounts, and multiple houses. People who are NOT RMT. Actual legitimate players, with the right connections, or money, or time on their hands, or all of the above.

Don't forget what Yoshida said about the number of wards available now will be doubled in Patch 2.4. That means you have time to try and earn money, wait for all the hype to go down and then start looking for your personal house. Prices will drop with time.
