I can see why this took priority over other UI changes, people found it almost impossible to see what they had selected, and the bar is something everyone uses all the time. What they did was a simple change with an image that is probably about 128x128 pixels and people are getting annoyed that this takes priority over other content when it is under a completely different department from anything else that isn't the UI.

So yea, I thought about what I said and I can say that it does take priority over any other UI changes that needed to be done and it does not stop any progress over other things like 'more content' because it's done by a separate team.

It's getting to the point where SE need a small print at the end of each update on Lonestone along the lines of "No progress was slowed down during the making/tweaking of this content".
