I sure like that I can have neighbours and it doesn't matter if they are in an existing wards or some absolutely new looking ones. People are just mad that they can't get personal houses right away but same happened with fc houses before.

I am still short 1 000 000 gil for small house and I would love to have 1 right beside my fc house but unfortunately some small fc bought the plot I wanted 2 weeks ago. So now just have to move on, start earning more gil and look for another plot.

I know most servers will have the two new wards filled up within just a few hours of release. Ragnarok sure will.

Honestly, I thought this was what they would do. I was hoping it would be this, with limited gardening. Like, one 4 bed garden patch at best. Maybe ability to upgrade your land/house to larger sizes for more gil.

What they gave us though, is all wrong. This should have been something that made it possible for the largest amount of people to enjoy. Instead, you not only have very limited plots, but you also have to compete with FCs. Terrible.

I'm pretty sure this is what most were expecting when promised 'personal housing.' Just an instanced space off the grid, load first into the plot of land after talking to an npc *cough*inn keep at starting cities*cough*, can then click on and go into the house akin to opening the gate or door via action use. And if people wanted to visit, just have some kind of new interface that would show you the plots of your friends at the top of a list, followed by random players, and a search tool if you're interested in interior ideas.

But no, SE took the lazy boy approach, even with alot of the resources already in the game that need simply an alteration or three, they waste everyone's time and hopes and tell those that were looking forward to a place to call home, to simply go get bent and deal with the FC's and every gil hoarding player that could make a video gamers edition of hoarders turn reality. Just once again, great concept, poor execution, piss off a good chunk of your consumers. Which seems to be the recurring run-o-the-mill theme these past few patches.

i always thought that due to the hamster-powered servers that they would introduce apartment style personal housing through the inn keeper.
i gave up long ago trying to understand certain aspects of this game or its implementations.
its been obvious from the beginning that they were not prepared for the onslaught of customers that came.
too bad they got far too many people's hopes up regarding personal housing.
even worse is that this has been in the works for months and months and the hope that they will change anything in the foreseeable future is a waste of typing.
