I think Rhode was trying to suggest since housing is scarce you could join an FC that managed to snag a house previously. Saying 'you can own a house' in this case is like saying you could win the lottery. Yes. You could. Likely? No.
Are you purposely arguing in bad faith? If I joined an FC with housing I would have to leave the one I'm currently in, where my friends are, to join another one.
I would rather my FC be able to buy a house than buying one myself while the rest of my FC goes without.
No, what are you even getting at? If you move from one FC to another, you are moving houses if both own a house. If you buy a personal house in the wards, and start or join an FC, you still keep your personal house, while being in an FC with a house.
My FC doesn't own a house, though. Nor do I stand any chance of being able to buy my own, personal, house.
Then perhaps you should focus on starting a movement to get Square to make personal rooms or inn rooms more viable for these things. Because back to back, in game mechanic wise, a small house should cost the same to buy, no matter if it's an FC buying it or an individual.
I get the feeling you're just ignoring what people are saying and saying what you want instead.
I get the feeling you aren't thinking logically about it. If you buy a house today for 50k, and you own it, that's great it was 50k, now if a company decides to buy that house, should they have to pay 200k?
I'm expecting people to automatically think logically about it, a small house cost the price of a small house, regardless if it's bought by an FC or an individual....
Maybe I'm wrong in expecting that?
