New battle stances

Think of it along the lines of the idle animations, it's there as a quality of life addition, not a "Hey you should think about this very carefully and be VERY aware of it".

It's a quality addition to break up the animation repetition.

I'm all for breaking up the cut/paste lookalike stuff for our races. My point though is its for "battle" stances yet we can't use them in battle so all in all not much is going to be changed. While I can't say for your server/DF group, I very rarely see people sit around town, or even in front of a boss, in battle stance. Most times its just sit around for a few seconds for buffs, then mad rush into fighting.

And yeah, I'm not raging on this either lol... I'm glad they are adding things into the game, small extras like this, just odd they do it in a way that's going to get very little limelight.

You seem to be confused as to their purpose.


These are most likely new 'idle' poses essentially, such as a dragoon resting their polearm upright on the ground whilst you wait, or a warrior slinging their axe onto their back.


These are "waiting for combat" stances, not inside combat stances.



Think of the 10-15 seconds you sometimes wait for a boss/fight to start, this is essentially for that reason.
