So rage now if Square tells you the bad news now or rage later?

They shouldn't make promises they end up for the most part not being able to keep. If they're going to release content, it's obvious the majority would rather it not be half assed with a little more thought and effort put into the end result. I guarantee you most everyone complaining right now would not have minded waiting longer for what was promised if they had seen this coming.

maybe if they told us about this sooner, we could've told them to stick these two wards to FC only and delay personal housing till they figure out how to actually give nearly every player a plot.

ideally, personal housing plots should be free and it should be expensive for players to build the house.

I think that if, say one or so months ago, Yoshi had made a post saying "We're really struggling at the moment, and we apologise sincerely for this. I have people working overtime - as am I, of course, but I always am! - yet it looks like we will not be able to add more than a couple of wards in patch 2.38. Because of the limited number of wards, we feel that it will be very possible that there will be a very high cost of housing to ensure that not all of them are snapped up in minutes. Would you prefer us hold these only for FC's, or not release them at all, or release them with high pricing? These are the options we feel are most appropriate. We will do one of these - probably the latter. Again, I apologise in advance, but please know that we are working as hard as we can to get a good "final product" that will satisfy your housing needs. Unfortunately, it might not be patch 2.38 which satisfies all needs because of the limited wards. I may even have to take back something I said earlier about the costs - at this rate the price of medium and large housing will probably be only affordable to less than 5% of the player population."

That would have lead to maybe a few threads, not the 50 we'll likely see now. It would also allow us a better understanding of what to expect. Or, you know, they could never have mentioned price earlier on at all.

Whats sad is that could very well happen.

NIN will be so horribly imbalanced.
To access the Saucer, you'll need to craft a 5 star recipe from mats crafted by a 3 star recipe in every DoH and YOU must craft it yourself. If you have a single DoH not at 50 or capable of 3 star recipes, you are SoL.
The expansion will take place in the Echo using the exact same mobs and the exact same zone layout we have now, and SE will call them new zones and mobs.

It comes to me, Yoshi and EA should have teamed up for a Sims 3 Expansion - Eorzea Stuff... that´s what all people seem to want ^^
