Personally, I find the fact that it even has "likes" to be a bit sickening.

I like to view this as "The number of people who have read this post and can afford a house (across all servers)."

I love these kinds of statements because when something gets royally screwed up with end game raiding and the community has a fit and someone says people will leave oh 'that' is logical but a botched job of a game area that someone else doesn't care about and there is no WAY anyone would ever be dumb enough to quit over it. Yeah people play and PAY for different reasons. The more MMOs that are figuring that out the more actually stay on business. But hey, it's always fun to look at everything one sided.

If you think my estimate is wrong, speak with your wallet. Nobody is forcing you to play a game you don't like the creative decisions for.

Thing is, that post isn't even about the real problems with player housing. It's from some kooky alternate dimension where people are only mad that there aren't enough 70 million gil houses for them to buy.
