Does the price reduce just like FC housing? If so, if you wait a while the smallest land may cost 850k. Or not

What makes you think now that anyone who is super rich (probably from RMT) can buy a house as an individual that there will be any empty plots sitting idle while you wait for them to devalue?

people no longer have to level a FC up before being allowed to purchase a plot... anybody with the gil can just walk in now alone and buy them. Including the Gil Sellers themselves.

The development team has been making the most of limited server resources to develop a new system that will allow us to add as many new housing plots as possible, but as we need to perform extensive optimization and debugging operations, we will not be able to implement this until Patch 2.4.

Some of you may be thinking it would have been better to simply wait until the release of Patch 2.4 instead of adding just a couple of housing wards, but please understand that we would like to do our utmost to ensure that new land is opened up as soon as possible, even if that means adding only a small number.

In the future, we plan to be able to double the total land for all existing housing wards, including the two new wards, in Patch 2.4 with the system changes that we are currently working on.

Here are your options:

• Demand more housing now, deal with unstable servers and possibly limit more content
• Save up while waiting for a month when properties devalue, ward sizes are doubled, and two more wards are added

I get people use this stuff for more than just vanity, but it's not like it's going to be two extra wards forever. Pick up a crafting/gathering class, spiritbond, whatever until 2.4 and then get your stuff. Don't quit because you need to put effort into getting something you want.

It sounds like you weren't really interested in housing at all, seeing as how you didn't save money for it in case that the price was over what you expected it to be, you were just hoping it would be under a million, and not sure how people that have been playing for a year aren't able to make that much gil easily.

Actually, no one would be complaining, as Yoshida already explained why there are only two wards being added, so people would just race to get it, and wait until 2.4 until more Wards are being added.

Sorry, but you just don't get why people are upset over this. I don't even need a personal house, I have a FC house that is just myself that I bought for the ridiculous 8m price tag before the 25% - 50% price drop only weeks later, and even I see that this is complete shit.

We should have just got instanced houses or a separate personal housing wards to justify a cheaper cost for small houses, not tweak some things to let single people buy a FC house without access to personal rooms lel.

I agree about how personal housing should of been instanced, and the worst thing about not instancing personal housing is the fact that the Dev's already knew that the current housing servers cannot even support enough plots of land for all the FCs desiring houses; add 2 Wards and double the total wards for 2.4 and even in 2.4 the amount of plots of land will be NO WHERE NEAR enough for personal housing demand and the later and later it takes them to come up with resources to provide more plots the more the demand will continue to outgrow the supply... It's a snowballing effect and the Devs are just going along for the ride thinking a miracle will eventually happen. Only time the demand will stabilize with the supply with their current method is when enough people quit to where everyone who still plays already has a house.

As the approach seems odd and not well tought, I don´t see how this will "KILL" the game,...

I can´t think of people playing this stuff now for a year, doing all this adventuring to close the timegap, and now just to play "Sims 2.38 - Eorzea Stuff".

lol, it's been floating this game for 4 years now and the only time it didnt really disappoint players was when the servers were shutdown and Betas (excluding ARR's Open Beta - 3102)

I'm looking at this thread and just like that the attitude has flip-flopped. The same people who scream at the rooftops about needing to your earn your stripes in this game are now threating to quit because how hard housing is gonna be to get. You want personal housing? Save your gil. Earn it. Camp for server reopening and quickly grab a spot. Stop wanting everything handed to you! And be okay with the idea that its not everyone, and that you might never attain it - but hey, thats what makes it so unique right? Thats a good thing, right? Lol, these forums crack me up.
