    Security of a smartphone is as strong as the security YOU you put on it. Also keep in mind that not everyone jailbreak or download unofficial software on their phone. Sorry but if "one fraudulent jackass" trojan something into your smartphone, you probably done something you shouldn't have in the first place or just didn't put any lock password. Same for people who get their WoW account hacked because they believed some hoax e-mail or that woman who lost tons of money because on an e-mail from a Nigerian Prince.

    SE wouldn't open any security holes, the authenticator would actually narrow an already opened hole.

    The only ones that fall in these are either ignorant (and unfortunately they learn the hard way) or plainly stupid.
