Feature Request: Macro target selection for "Focus Target's Target"

    Hello,

since I'm completly redoing my SCH Macros I'd like to drop a small feature request:
Please make command for Macros that combines <focus> and <tt>. To select the Target of my Focus Target.

I'm sorry if this has already been requested (I searched a bit but didn't find a relevant Topic).

I worked with Focus target on the tank for a while. But it gets harder with Monsters that require tank swaps, or Monsters you have to be careful with certain attacks like in the second coil of bahamut. That's where I like to set Focus target on the Boss to see which attacks he executes.

So it would be really awesome to have a command like that, which would make my life a lot easier as a Controller Player.

I would much prefer a <st> or <stt> macro, something that will still allow you to focus on tank while healing, yet have a secondary curser to sleep mobs or DoT adds without taking your eyes off the focus target. Be better for SCH to allow fairy to continue to heal primary while you heal a selected target separately, then when the action is done, curser goes back to focus target.

Hello. Sorry, but i am unsure of what you are trying to suggest. Maybe you can help me understand a bit more. But it sounds like all you want is...

    /target <f>
    /target <tt>

It sounds like you want those commands combined. If so, i am not sure why just using the two commands separate is an issue. But again... I am unsure of exactly what you are trying to suggest. Please help me to understand.

P.S. I am not trying be a derp. Just want to understand. ^_^

The issue with that is that you actually switch targets, and there's no good way to switch back.

If we had <ft>, we could write, for example, macros with offensive spells (stone, aero, etc.) that would hit the boss while the tank is focused, without losing our current healing target. Or macros that heal the current tank when the boss is focused, without losing our current target.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

ah yeah. i do see the issue you mention. it's why i don't even use a targeting macro anymore. i tried to set up a macro to make it easier to switch targets while trying to do both damage and healing. but the macro system simply isn't intuitive enough.
