I think he was just correcting my statement that the Lodestone is based on what you wore when you logged out. (I tend to be on the forums and Lodestone during the day and play in the evenings, so I end up seeing my own characters showing what I wore when I logged out, as I would have been logged out last time the Lodestone updated.)
