Was just in a DF Cutter's Cry where a healer apologized for lack of experience. The tank replied that lack of experience is nothing to be sorry about. We need more of people like this. Of course, the conversation was in Japanese and since I didn't know what to reply, I just typed that "I seem to have misplaced my keyboard".

You can be new and still have common sense. Sorry for expecting too much.

    Personal Housing
While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

If you are new, you have no idea what is expected. That "common sense" only comes with experience. Heck. Even all common sense comes with experience.

There is no such thing as an intuitive "common sense", especially when someone is totally new at something.

Definitely should unlock Bard, most of the dungeons in that block are designed around the expectation that you by now have your job unlocked and up to date. Also I'd recommend asking if anyone in your free company is a goldsmith, they can make you some Amethyst jewelry to fill up those empty slots. It's one thing to be lagging behind a bit but missing effectively three pieces of gear is going to make people do a double-take.

Looks like op is new to the RPG genre as a whole not just MMOs.

Yeah op throwing yourself at a mmo while not having experience with RPGs is going to be a bit tough.

The thing I see the most is people asking questions that are already explained in the first missions or the big pop up window for the tutorial. People just dont like to read and want other people to explain to them in detail.

When I was completely new to this genre, years back, I loved reading the forums about my class/job. It helped me immensely. Not only rotation wise, but things as updating my gear (which seems obvious now, but we have a live example here) became common sense. The amount of people with a nonchalant approach is almost disturbing.

I just finished leveling an alt up to 50. It's amazing how many OP-like people there are. It means SE did get a good bunch of new players. Unfortunately I don't find leveling challenging at all which results in fresh 50's with no clue about game mechanics and/or job knowledge.

So I'm guessing when you first jumped into a MMO, you instantly knew what you were doing...we all started somewhere. Don't talk like you weren't once a newbie that didn't have the slightest idea what you were doing. Besides, maybe you people should have some common sense when it comes to new people. Instead of expecting them to know everything about the dungeon or whatever it is.

Whats disturbing is the amount of grief just here alone the OP has taken. Either talked down to, or just down right insulting from some. Its just someone who is asking for help/advice.

Well to be fair, I've looked at the posts the OP has made since joining and none of them are asking questions about equipment or how to be a better bard. If the only questions he's asking are "why are people so mean to me", I can kind of understand where some of the vitriol is coming from. A lot of this could have been avoided by him asking about how to be a better player, instead of how to color a chocobo. I understand we all have different priorities in the game, but if group content is something one is interested in, one must needs get acclimated to functioning in a group.

To the OP - I'd recommend running the level-appropriate dungeon for your level and rolling need on every upgrade that you can. I find it hard to believe that in 45 levels of dungeoning that is the best set you can come up with. Don't be afraid to roll need on equipment that are upgrades for you. That's what the button is for. When you get to beyond the level you actually need it, you can greed out of courtesy, but for now you are leveling and that button is for you to equip your character.
