He's talking about your character equipment window. To the left side, you have your weapon and armor, to the right side are the off hand and accessories.my gear as in my clothes ? as I get new stuff I always try to change to the more powerful higher ranked stuff.. Ive even tried to buy better stuff - but there never seems to be anything over a certain level available to me. as for right / left... that makes no sense . you mean if my shirt shows on the right or left column of my character picture ? I didn't know you could change that - or that it would matter. ? or are you taking about what side I use my weapon on ? again - had no idea I could change this .

plain language: your armor & weapon = left side slots, your jewel = right side slotsmy gear as in my clothes ? as I get new stuff I always try to change to the more powerful higher ranked stuff.. This is your character on lodes, as you can see your clothes & weapon are ok, but on the jewel/accesorry, neck & wrist are missing, 1 spirit bound ring, earring and the other ring is to low. Your jewel help absolute nothing, but only slow it down for the other. They need some love as well, upgrade them !
ps: if you read my reply, I tried my best to explain

when you open character information, the left side are Armor/clothes & weapon, and the right side are jewel. When do a dungeon, ppl usually expect other ppl to upgrade their gear up to date, that mean if you running a lvl lets say 45 dungeon, so the gear ilvl have to be close to 45 or over, if the gear is way to low like ilvl 35 in a lvl 45 dungeon, your stats will be low and it will take a bit longer to kill mobs, boss and make the dungeon run longer.
In that mind set, ppl who doesnt have their gear up to date are usualy lazy or looking for a carry or dont care, and of course ppl will not like those kind of player
ps: this happen often at low lvl dungeon where new player lvl up and forget to upgrade their equip/gear. At higher lvl dungeon ppl will not bother much if your gear is ilvl 90 while their are ilvl 110
edit: while we are at it, I believe BRD can have cross skill from LNC/DRG, you need to get it to vl 15 as well, not just PGL. You are in a FC with a lot of lvl 50 character, it is a good idea to ask them for guideline before do something (it is a bonus, take it or not is up to you)

this is exactly my issue - there is an assumption in these dungeons that the reason Im doing stuff is to just be a dick .. or that Im an idiot or something. I never play as healer or tank ... tbh I wouldn't know how to decided to pick that as an option in the first place .. I just click the duty finder and select a dungeon - so far its mainly been the ones chucked up by the main storyline. and Ive tried to go with the flow. last night I thought we were doing well - then someone said "why don't you have any jewelry? ... why aint you a bard???" then some other abuse about me being the worse bard ever.... its frustrating when Its not something I intentionally meant to do.
thanks - I didn't see this reply - too many other replies.. loledit: while we are at it, I believe BRD can have cross skill from LNC/DRG, you need to get it to vl 15 as well, not just PGL. "ppl usually expect other ppl to .." is something I run into a LOT in this game ... this assumption that I should know all this stuff .. and abide by these expectations.
the multiple disciplines thing is something Im very new too also ... I only looked into becoming a bard when someone was confused as to why I wasn't one already ... something I was confused about myself. so I only leveled up to 15 PGL last week. I'll look into the same for lancer perhaps.

yeah, that s why I mention it. Best advice is to get all class (DoW & DoM) to lvl 15 minimum. It is boring but you will earn the benefit from the effort later. And those info about gear & multi jobs are the basic ! we are not get into how to play BRD yet !the multiple disciplines thing is something Im very new too also ... I dont know what else have been written in this thread, because im to "LAZY" too read all of it, but i just have to tell you you are talking complete bullshit.
The right side doesnt do shit before you are level 50, you could even do everything fine with the right side beeing empty, if you are average in playing your class.
I have done all the content with every role, and i barely update my right side(only buying accs at like lvl 20),before i hit lvl50, except when i got something from dungeons.
Healing Easy, Tanking without getting ridiculous damage, and mostly being the dps pulling out the most damage, maybe you want to learn more about the game, before telling others how to manage their characters.
Dont even bother looking at my character, because its not the one shown on this forum.
Dont get me wrong, i dont want to say accs arent worth updating, just that its not really necessary, to blow gil on insane priced low lvl accs.

Hey OP, I'm on Cerberus too and toss my name among the list of people that will help you. I'm happy to run and explain any dungeon or fight you need to do. I'm also happy to craft some accessories for you if you need them or answer any questions.
