The divebombs are always a pain for me. Even if I get in the trench with the group and run back and forth when the green mark and Twintanias focus bar pop... I still manage to mess it up somehow even when I'm planted on the group the whole time.

I've never been able to make it past the divebombs to the twisters and I honestly don't think it's because I don't know how to dodge them.

Sounds like a connection problem to me, my brother plays on the ps3 and only ever has a problem if our internet is acting up. I would just say keep your wits about you and pair the party list and focus target close together.
T5 requires a lot of attention. my biggest problem was getting caught watching the party list without glancing at my toon. Very easy to get tunnel vision.
Oh and buy a headset doesn\\'t have to be an uber fancy one those noise cues help a lot

My router is 10 feet from my ps3 with a bedroom wall between them. A friend of mine just upgraded to a ps4 and says it's alot easier for him.

Sorry to tell you that you need to spend hundreds of dollars to get a better and easier shot on t5 by getting a PS4. I was in t5 as a summoner with randoms and when conflag notices pop over my head, it was too late to respond, especially when it's the fast notice and my PS3 gives me the notice maybe .5 seconds later than when it actually pops up. I got flamed at and when they asked me what platform I was on, I said I was on the ps3, and they were all like "Oh, that explains a lot..." and I got kicked. Being on the PS4 saves you from a lot of stress and frustration.

Also, I wouldn't know about healing tips since I don't heal in coil, but maybe playing on a different console would give you a better response with that you're already trying to do on PS3.

speaking from experience the lag on ps3 is no where near bad enough for you to play any worse than anyone else, ill agree to going with wired but player reaction time is by far the biggest reason for fails.

Coming from someone who's gone through 'practice' runs the past week (team usually Vote Abandon after four failed attempts), it's all about experience. The first time I jumped in there, I thought that there was a lot going on, but after a number of attempts you get the feel for what's about to come and how to adjust.

Then again I play on PC so I can't compare from PS3/4 players.

If you're playing on wireless, it's more about that than being on PS3.

First for your hardware issue. Wireless signals don't go through walls they bounce around them so def change to Ethernet or at least check ur wireless channels. Also instead of going out and getting a whole new console just pick up a solid state drive (nothing ridiculous) and swap your existing with that.

For your dive bomb set your focus target on Twin and increase the size of it in the HUD options and put it near party list. When Twin disappears and reappears to dive bomb the focus target display will disappear and reappear. This allows you to play with zero volume and visibility and still get out in time.

For conflags knowing her rotation is the best bet for this. After 1st necklace breaks fireball comes. All end game content req healers to know boss rotations esp in 6-9. This will also help you get stoneskins off before the ds...I main sch now but I would just start spamming stoneskin after that 2nd plummet as whm.

    best of luck,

When it comes to divebombs, I do have a few tips when it comes to lag. Yes, buying a PS4 is obviously a quick, yet expensive fix, but there are some alternate strategies to get passed this part that I did back when I was a terrible, terrible lagmonster.

When the divebombs come, let everyone else stack in the pit and you go stand in the middle. This way you won't get hit by a divebomb from someone else, or throw the rest of the party all over the place if you were targeted by a divebomb if you were in the pit. Even though you're in the middle, you still could get targeted by a divebomb and simply have to grit through it and hope your WHM throws a Regen on you (or try out Manawall, I think that could block the damage but you'd still get thrown, never tried it). When the snakes drop, stay in the middle and inch forward so you're in range. When the second set of divebombs come in, rinse and repeat by being in the middle. (Test this out though by staying at max range to hit the snakes though---could work).

Oh! And, if you still for some reason want to stack with everyone in the pit, if you get thrown out just remember to run around the outside of the arena first when heading back. That should let you re-position yourself with the group when the snakes spawn. If you get thrown out again during second set of divebombs, just wait in the middle.

After that you should be fine and not really have to worry about lag too much. Twisters may be a problem, but its doable. Also, with the knights, with a BLM throwing a Blizzard 1 on them is nice but with lag, casting time may screw up so use Lethargy instead. Not AS effective, but it's an instant cast so it should help.

EDIT: Just realized you were healing this, even though your avatar says THM. Oops. Most of this still applies then, at least for the divebombs. Knights....not so much, but hey...good luck!

My problem is with the HUD and possibly my controller settings.
I'm not sure if this will help, but depending on the phase I will be looking at different areas on the screen.
    • Eyes on the party list during phases where people are spread out -- like at the beginning when the MT has Twintania and everyone else is DDing the adds, or for after Aetheric Profusion when the Twisters start spawning.
    • Eyes on the center of the screen when people are in generally the same area -- like during the Fireball and Conflag stage. If you have party member HP bars visible when below 100%, you should be able to quickly see who needs healing and also where and when Fireballs and Conflags come without moving your eyes around the screen.

And of course keeping the Focus Target bar near the party list so I can see when Death Sentence and Twisters are coming.

If someone really does have lag problems, I agree it is better that they stand away from the party and try their best to dodge on their own. When everyone stacks in the pit, just one person not getting the timing right for avoiding and also moving back when they are targetted by Divebombs can easily lead to a wipe since it often takes out several party members at once.

Also, I generally don't try to heal at all during Divebombs. I will only use instant cast abilities like Regen because even a fraction of a second of animation lock can lead to being hit and then a wipe.
