When they schedule maintenance to accompany a patch, it means the game is getting patched during that very maintenance period, so yeah v2.38 is imminent.

I wouldn't doubt it, if they take the ward route they have to ensure all lands will not be taken in one day by people with alts, plus they would want to limit how many people can get houses for a while, they don't have unlimited resources.

Personal housing was confirmed in the last LL, they are going silent due to other reasons... perhaps afraid of our reaction with some of the upcoming content.

Yoshida: First, we'll be adding land in patch 2.38, and it will then be possible to purchase personal housing, but the issue of how many plots to add will be under discussion until right up to the last minute. Just the other night we had a meeting which included Kasuga about even more additional plots and what kind of plans they have in order to accommodate them.

If you can buy land you can build a house on it. I'm not sure why they've been more or less silent lately, but probably just prepping the patch(es) and getting ready for TGS. No reason to think that the things they've said multiple times will be in this patch won't be.

Hope so. Well I'm looking forward to it in any case. I'm all gilled and sealed up. Unless we have to make the house for glazenuts in which case I'm screwed

Guys just wait for the patch notes, what there's no reason for the maintenance to last for as long as it does if they're not going to add anything substantial. No reason to freak out over this, they're not going to reveal information because the patch is so close...

mmm normally they gave us at least prelimanary Patch notes on the day before they released it. This time they didn't (so far). Either an oversight or there is something in the Patch that is changing the Economy significantly and they are holding it back with purpouse.
