Thread: What is coming in 2.38?

mmm normally they gave us at least prelimanary Patch notes on the day before they released it. This time they didn't (so far). Either an oversight or there is something in the Patch that is changing the Economy significantly and they are holding it back with purpouse.

I'm at work when the servers come back up so I seriously hope personal housing isn't limited like FC housing is.

What is coming in 2.38? Disappointment perhaps, I hope not.

Advance knowledge doesn't really change things much because post-patch it just becomes a race to login first and buyout the market. If anything, it only screws over people with sleep schedules.

At any rate, a personal housing preview should have been in order, even if details on how to obtain one were held back. I've been trying to plan for this for months and with no solid info to go on, I may have been wasting my time. That's what I think many find unacceptable.

My suggestion would be stop wasting your time then......heck I did not even plan for months for my first real life house purchase.

Personal Housing will be a big disappointment if personal gardening isn't available. This is the only reason I even care. Yes it would be cool to have a house in it's own right, but to me the only purpose is for gardens. Honestly, a public garden area would have been a better idea anyways. Big areas of communal garden plots for rent.

All I know is I have 2000 myth and about 1400 soldiery saved up for the relic extension.


I may have been a bit paranoid with the solidery saving, but 2.4 should remove the weekly cap so it wouldn't surprise me if this part of the relic quest needed it.


And if not, I can gear up another alt I hardly use /shrug

I pray to the twelve that they do it in such a way that everyone can get a personal house when and where they need/want/can afford it. I will be very upset if they do it the same way they have done the FC housing. Like other people have commented on, if I dont have the money for it the moment the server comes back up and all plots are sold, then I have lost interest in one of the few things left about this game that i was actually excited for.

But I'll be damned that it does sound like it will be the same way the FC is, they release 5 wards with personal house plots, once those are bought up, you are shit outta luck until they decide to/are able to create more wards. I would have been happy if they did it like the mog house stuff from FFXI but allowed us to go to the outside instead of warp directly inside the house.

Well, I am surprised that they wouldn't publicize private housing if it was coming. It's a feature that many have asked for and many other games provide.

If they are planning to include it, they certainly haven't marketed it very well. Of course, it is just as likely that it got pushed. In any case, I wouldn't hold my breath for anything meaningful.
