1. whats the best for myth farm currently please??

i asked on shout in my server a few people said marks farming but wanted a wider point of view n advice cause i thought the hunting would be more hit n miss depending on wether u got full rewards etc??

2. why is frontline so unpopular??

from all the mmorpgs ive played over the years PVP has always been quite active within the community...personally i like the frontline system its quite fun for me n gives u a break from farming dungeons etc

Marks probably are the quickest way to farm myth, but if you want something guaranteed I'd do the Duty Roulette, in particular the Main Scenario roulette. The MS roulette itself gives you 110 myth per day, plus some of the instances themselves can also give myth. If you help a new player complete the instance for the first time, that is also an additional 100 myth.

As for PvP, the fact that this is a Final Fantasy MMO is probably effecting it. PvP was never popular in XI. I've played PvP in other games, but I've never tried it here (nor in XI for that matter). From what I can tell, Frontlines is popular for PvP in a Final Fantasy MMO. At least the Devs seem happy with the amount of people playing it.

Hunting is the best way for myth farming. The key is that you have to be in a hunt party who is willing to look for the hunts instead of waiting for them to be announced. You can still do roulettes and those do give a good amount of myth tomes, but in terms of myth gained per hour, a good hunt party is better. Keep in mind with the recent patch though that you will be only looking for rank A and S hunts. Rank Bs are almost worthless unless you have a mark bill.

Frontlines is actually very popular on the JP servers. It's difficult to queue an entire 24-man pre-made in to Frontlines which is why it hasn't taken off so well with the pvp guilds. There's also little reason for players at end-game to want PvP equipment obtainable from Frontlines. I think the battlefield control is pretty fun too, but it doesn't help many players progress or get glamours, so it only appeals to the niche group who are already done with or uninterested in progression.

tyvm for the replies recently started playing again so wasnt sure on the best myth farm is since started working on my atma books again so ill try the mark farm and see how it goes :3

in regards to the frontline reason i asked is im normally in queue for hour - 1 n half n more often then not i get the 24 man frontline with the 3 captureable outposts

True, if there was some reward for PvP besides just tomes and a few glamours I'd probably be more inclined to try it. I'd love to have some of the PvP abilities in PvE. That said, I actually like the fact that it is optional. I have plenty of other things to work on in game.

i want the mount out of it :P but kinda hard to keep queuing for it when wait over n hour n not many ppl :P dont get me wrong ive had mayb 2-3 out of 30 frontlines that have been 70+ people but not many

Frontlines or spam Hullbreaker (just like it used to be Ak, Wp and then Brayflox HM)
And also like mentioned Roulettes, low level duty roulette i think gives more for some reason.
Perhaps even do HM Primals and hope that there is new players for bonus myth

I do trial roulette most days, and there is almost always at least one new player. And the fights are short, so it's a nice chunk for little investment

I also do main story roulette whenever I can, with the i40something accessories (HQ rubelite and such). Decent myth and something like 60% SB without SB potions (for Castrum anyway; Prae doesn't seem to come up as much, so I don't know how far that gets the SB bar).
