What are the best ways to level up your chocobo?

Im a returning player and not up to speed on everything just yet but I just got my chocobo to rank 5 from pure grinding over the corse of my character so it took a very long time. I heared there was new ways to gain experience for them bit im not sure what they are called or how to do so and I hear you can go past rank 10 now so if someone can help me out with some info on different ways to gain chocobo experience I would really appreciate it, thanks.

'Reward' (feed) them special snacks when they are stabled (your FC will need a chocobo stable).

Else, killing lots and lots of mobs is probably faster (spirit-bonding sessions at Urth's Gift comes to mind...).

Is that why I always see people in that cave killing bats while I'm mining? Was wondering what the draw was to there.

If you have access to a FC house, garden, and chocobo stable, you can feed your chocobos and train them. Be aware the chocobo feed items can only be obtained by gardening, so are fairly expensive if you are buying from the marketboards. Also, you can only feed and train your chocobo in a stable, which requires a FC house and some gardeners and crafters or gil to be spent on stable brooms.

Yes. Urth's Gift is a popular spot for bots to spiritbind. The chocobos are there more to help with survival in those cases, as you do very little damage and are fragile when you're wearing 10 crafter/gatherer items.

Where do I get these weekly challenges?

Unlock the challenge log in Limsa's Adventurer's Guild. It's a level 14 or 15 quest and the title has "challenge" in it.

be warned tho some free companies have settings on the gardening that lets u plant but u cant harvest for that reason alone is why im waiting for personal housing to come b4 i start attempting colouring n training my kentuky

The quest for the Challenge Log is "Rising to the Challenge" and I think it's a level 17 quest. As said, it's in Limsa.
