1. I used mine many months ago at Ifrit HM to keep the group from wiping. Generally though, I never use my LB as Bard.
2. In my experiences the DD have been really good about using LB at the right times.

Will use it at times depending. But have saved quite a few wipes that way.
This reminds me of a story when I first played bard. I was doing a dungeon and I saw lb at full and I decided to use it. I never actually looked at the limit break guide so when I clicked it I'm thinking I'm about to shoot a giant arrow to the boss. I ended up healing people and I was so confused. Ah good ol' memories.
Having a dps that can heal when needed is very useful albeit situational. Smn with swiftcast + raise is great. Once I was tanking in a dungeon, healer and blm dead, boss 5% hp I was almost dead, asked bard to lb, healed me (sadly he died in the process) but I was able to down the boss.
Although once after coming back from quitting for a year I asked the bard to lb instead of the blm in haukke HM on the last boss. Figured melee dps lb over caster dps lb, later I learned how stupid I was hurp durp.
1 - I use LB sometimes when boss is almost dead and so are dps
2 - I hate people that QQ about DPS not using LB in situations when clearly LB doesn't matter. Especially annoying when in duty roulette I get Titan hm and someone start to ask for DPS LB3 with all 8 members alive and Titan having 3% hp left.
During the last year I might have used it about 3 times to save party during Garuda EM, EM Ultima and the last one I do not remember. I see DPS not using LBs 50% of the time I am doing dungeons or stuff. I always have to tell them to use it and even after I tell them they do not do it or do it at 2% HP of boss, which is quite pointless.1-Have you ever had to use your LB?
If so, how often, or do you remember the last time you use it.
My answer: I used mine once over a year ago (No joke)
2-How often do you see dps not use their dmg LB when they need to?
My answer: 95% of the time.
P.S. This is not a topic to beg SE to give Bards dmg dps, it's not gonna happen ever so why bother?
1. I honestly can't remember xD I think my static raid leader asked me to use it once for the lols during Rumah ext but I didn't even have it on my bar.. thats how much its used. Complete waste of space.
2. All the time.
Think only time I "had" to use it was during levelling BRD on Garuda story mode, Healer struggled to top people up after ultimate. So after a wipe from it I used BRDs LB to top everyone up.
99% of fights doesn't "need" an LB, closest is turn 9 to kill first ghost and push Nael to p4 before 2nd ghost/3rd heavensfall (caster LB). Oh, and superslug strat on t6.
I've seen bards rescue a few parties here and there. Namely on Garuda and Ultima HM. I'd vote for a buff or damage instead though.
For Melee not using it, heres a whole list of why not:
Boss is moving / is close to an attack where it may move.
I'm mid combo. I'm not wasting GL3, Blood and IR, LB can wait until I've laid out my hits and DoTs.
I fear it may be needed by someone else (Tank, Healers) soon.
I feel it's a waste, we won't build it for another fight where it's better used.
It may get me killed by AoE
I do not feel I have enough HP to withstand a potential cleave or what have you (It could get me killed version 1a). (Bosses with random turn-hit / cones. Like the giant magitek knights)
I'm paralyzed, stoned, or otherwise engaged.
I could miss. Phase changes can sometimes cause this, though I have had LB3 teleport me with Garuda during her switch up, which was hella fun. (I think this is linked to the animation forcing the character into dead-centre of the target)
I'm not in the boss room because the raid is impatient as hell. (This has happened)
Some moron is telling me when to use it, regardless of the above. At this point, I often just won't bother at all. (don't you tell me what to do!)
Obviously, forgetting it's there or just lazyness does happen, but like with anything, people forget that LB is not instant hit free damage, it takes thought to use effectively and safely.
However, every side has a tale to tell, and I'mma re-enter the blame game with a shot of why don't the bloody mages use it / why do they use it on SINGLE TARGETS. (It only needs 2 targets to do more dmage than melee but sweet hell, (Assuming xivdb is correct) 5000 Blade Dance potency versus 3000 StarStorm. (Two targets: 6000 potency in the resulting damage total)
They have plenty of opportunities to use Skyshard in dungeons just to clean out weaker mobs with so much more efficiency, where the bosses it doesn't really make all that much of a difference if or if not Melee is used. (Build up over first boss, Clean out mobs between 1st and 2nd boss in no time, repeat. Obviously some circumstances like BrayfloxHM would not use this for the final stretch, but still... Actually, considering how long it takes to kill those mobs, it might just, cos that big bomb ain't a problem).
Really though, the real problem with LB is that the animations are the same for everyone. I want Dolphin Kick and Suplex for LV1/2 on Monk, Highwind etc for DRG.

I've used it about 3x since I've started playing bard. 2x for Titan HM and 1x for Garuda HM (duty roulette trials). Both healers down each time and the Primal was at less than 10% HP. So people were spamming in party chat for me to use my LB. I only use it when I am asked or if I see we are in desperate need of it with a chance of winning if we get everyone up. However, those that were knocked off the platform with Titan are just SoL in this situation...
