Oddity with level 1 Hempen gear

for a while now ive seen people wearing gear called
Hempen Undershirt
Hempen Camise

but what i found odd about the gear is that it isnt displaying like it should
its actually displaying what i can only assume is called Refugee gear

instead of the tank top look, its ropes with a single stone at the center of the chest
i was able to make a new character equip the hempen gear and have the Refugee set
display.

what is up with this?

The way it looks changes depending on what race you are.

What race are you using it on? Because the hempen set looks different depending on the race (and obviously gender) of the character you are wearing it on. For example, a miqo'te female wearing it looks like a halter tank top, but a highlander female in one looks like shes wrapped up in bondage straps almost o.o

Each race has its own look - and hyur have two (one for midlanders, one for highlanders).

Not sure what you mean but like the others have said it depends on the race, it looks like this on a miqote

sadly i never got a screenshot of it so the proof is lost

Which one Hyur or Hyurgot ? You are sure you didn't saw an hyurgoth and thought it was a Roe ?

OK, above is what ive been seeing on males,
to the left is what the hempen gear has always looked like for me on ALL RACES
to the right is the new hempen gear ive been seeing since patch 2.2

they always were like this, Left is Hyur, Right is Highlanders.
