Because RMT makes up 10% of SE's subscriptions? Would you want to lose 200,000 subscribers?Probably.
These exist in nearly every server (except JP ones, mostly), and are stupidly easy to spot. Most are in the same FC and have normal names with a couple random letters after the first name.
I've yet to hear a good reason for why SE can't handle this. Or rather, why they don't seem to want to. Besides money.
You can report them, but good luck getting anything done.
I don't think bots get gear from starter quests, one account can buy gear from NPC for all bots.

Actually most RMT accounts are hacked versions. Not particularly from real players, but they don't pay SE to play. Some yes, but most nah
@OP Yeah we have that on our server as well but they are all 50 BLM/THM and constantly que up for dungeons like Wanderer's Palace and spam the first area for gil, quit and re-enter. Nothing you can do but report & move on.
System->Support Desk-> Report Cheating
And no its not randomized, those are the colors for the starting gear in Ul'dah, its more then likely bots

Considering those 200,000 banned RMT accounts will now turn around and buy more copies of the game in order to continue farming? Yes. And I would do it over and over and over again.
