Controller Randomly stop working

I've been looking at the forum adn apparently i'm not the 1st to get this issue, but the thread was in "resolved Issue". Since maybe 2 week, once a while, maybe once or twice every hours my controller input just stop working and my character keep moving in the last direction i pressed. It does that for 10-20 sec, the character lock in 1 direction then move to another and another.. It never did that before, been using Xbox one controller since the December and 360 controller since game release before that. I've been trying 2 xbox one controller with windows driver or with controller max and also with my 360 controller. Tried to uninstall and reinstall. Nothing works. Also for no reason the option "Keep controller enabled when client is innactive" and "enable vibration" unchek themselves when it happen and i have to reactivate them after. Been doing this in FFXIV only and i'm Using Windows 7 Pro 64bits

Plug the controller into a powered hub.

the check boxes unticking is indicative that the controller is actually vanishing from the system momentarily.

Maybe get a new controller?

Maybe try checking to see if it works with another computer, or try updating the controllers drivers.

I have a very similar issue on one of the 2 PCs that I use. I've checked each gamepad on each machine. Both work fine on one machine and both 'disappear' for brief moments randomly on the other. When they disappear whatever action I may have been doing is repeated rapidly for ~5 seconds. So I either continue running in one direction, the camera spins, I repeatedly open/ close the map, etc. When the controller comes back, all gamepad settings will be reset to however I had them when I booted up the game (meaning to actually change controller settings I have to immediately log off after, otherwise they revert). The machine this happens to me on is running Win 8.1, all drivers up to date, etc.

From what I could tell looking around this seems to affect a small number of people and has been going on for as long as 5 months or so. I've yet to see anyone post about fixing this problem except when it occurs with PS3 controllers, though I think that's probably just a similar but unrelated issue.

Help! After installing Windows 8.1, my USB device doesn't charge or it disconnects and reconnects frequently...
