    Having problems on Garuda EX...

I'm having trouble on Garuda Ex, I tried it for the first time last night, and on the parts where Chirada spawns I'm supposed to pick her up and move her, along with the spiney.

However I struggle at this part a lot. I can't seem to build enough threat to move her without the Dps pulling her off of me. The only way I can do it is if I stand totally still for almost two complete Halons combos before trying to move her, and taking the one GCD to taunt the spiney ends up with me losing threat also.

Does anyone have any advice for this? I'd really appreciate it

Provoke is off-GCD; it shouldn't take you a GCD's worth of time to voke spiny and get back to whichever sister you take.

First off, for first sisters (no spiny) the most optimal thing you can do is Fast Blade when Garuda summons sisters (DIEDIEDIE), immediately Savage>Halone Chirada, start running.

For the sisters after Aerial Blast, you have to tackle it a little differently but it's the same idea:
    1) After spiny dies, Garuda comes bask for Mistral whatever. Use Fast on her after the cast bar finishes.
    2) Garuda teleports, does the feather rain thing. You should run away for this and then run back in when the aoe marks fade.
    3) Savage Garuda when she returns, then Halone your sister of choice. Combo should last long enough. If not, do same as first example: Fast Garuda, Savage add, Halone add.

You can honestly leave spiny on whoever it is on during this phase for 2 stacks and take it back after the sister you are holding dies, unless your DPS is slow/bad. Then you have to take it back early but your hate should be fine.

Should not have hate troubles doing this unless your DPS out-ilvl you(r weapon) by 20+.

SeraviEdalborez has really good tips. I just want add a little. When provoking make sure it is followed by an emnity builder. For example Savage Blade > Provoke > Rage or Halone. Always use Fight or Flight when grabbing the sister.

after you have run it a few times you will anticipate the sisters appearing and can hold back halone on your combo run upto chi and smack her with it the second she appears.. aint no one taking her then.

at this point I'll run to position and probs shield lob her again for good measure, then start standard hate combo and when her hp is low hold halone again to run and collect sup provoking just befoe I get to her and then hitting her with halone..

this can be done on all spawns of them.

If you have Shield Oath up (hey I've seen it happen, and done it myself ) and are using pre-combo'd Savage Blade or Rage of Halone, the only thing I can think of is that the DPS are getting a bit trigger happy when Chirada spawns. As mentioned above, to make sure you grab her, pre-load your Rage of Halone so that you hit Chirada with it when she spawns. For the first appearance, pull her south as far as you can, and when she's dead, go and Provoke Suprana off of the Main Tank and pull her off to one side to ease damage (but be careful not to line-of-sight your Healers behind the rocks). If DPS is good, you sometimes don't need to do that part, but even my i105 Monk dies from double Wicked Wheel sometimes, so it makes it easier for melee as well.

In the next phase in the eye of the storm, Provoke > Shield Lob and then Flash the Spiny Plume as soon as the Plumes spawn. Flash a couple of times to hold it, and move it away from the Razor Plumes to allow the DPS to AOE as many of the others as they can. Once the Razor Plumes are down, go and help DPS Garuda until she jumps. The Main Tank should Provoke the Spiny off of you once you hit two stacks.

Next phase, same again, pre-charge Rage of Halone by hitting Garuda with Fast Blade > Savage Blade and hit Chirada with it as soon as she spawns. Provoke the Spiny Plume as soon as it spawns as well and make sure to hit it with a Shield Lob to secure it. Pull her and the Spiny south-east on the mini-map for when the whirlwinds start, and the DPS should focus down Chirada. Throw a couple of Flashes in now and again to ensure the Spiny stays on you. When Chirada is dead, you will probably have hit two stacks with the Spiny, so the Main Tank should Provoke it off of you, at the same time as you Provoking Suprana to your position so that the melees can avoid double Wicked Wheel. Not all groups do this, but if the melee DPS you have in your group are particularly low item level, it's normally best to do this as they will almost certainly die (especially if they have Blood for Blood up like I did yesterday.... XD).

Then it's rinse and repeat until dead

On chirada+spiney phases u can ignore spiney, just watch your party to make sure to grab it off whoever at 2 stacks. It's more important to get threat on chirada and pull to the corner so dps can burn her down. Most parties I pug with now kill her way b4 2 stacks and u can just voke it, lob and flash until MT needs to get it.
