    The resurrection animation.

    Does it bother anyone else when the game shows them raising up before returning to an aethertye when they die?

    This has been a small annoyance of mine since OB. Can we have it fixed so we don't raise up until we return to the aetheryte? It's just weird to see myself raise up and port away. Logically, why would I do that? If I could raise up, I'd stay there and fight whatever killed me.

    Does this bother anyone else? I know it's kind of trivial, but again, every time I see it it just doesn't sit right with me.

    Yeah, this is indeed annoying. Not game breaking, by any means, but I still hope they plan to fix it someday.

    It's the same problem as when you teleport. The animation shows you "warp" away, yet once it's done, you are still just standing there for another 5-10 seconds before you ACTUALLY teleport. Also not game breaking, but it just doesn't look very professional and polished at all...

    When I got resurrected via return shortly after the patch the mob killed me again during the animation and broke my gear.

    It definitely bothers me, along with the teleporting. Basically exactly what miqokini said - it may not matter but it looks terrible. With the game's graphics and animations being so great for an MMO, it's extra jarring that they're so poorly timed.

    I can never tell when i receive a raise, unless i notice the icon or someone says in TS.

    Spell needs an animation effect on character BEFORE and AFTER.

    FF has always been a game with special effects and animations for spells and moves. IE. HOLY, ULTIMA, METEOR, CURE, OMNISLASH, etc etc etc. All stylish and tasteful. But Raise spell in this game is WTFBBQLAMESAUCE. The spell really needs a buff to the animation, hope this gets addressed in 1.19.

    Semi-Off topic but raise / resurrect skill should have a light or something appear on the unconsious body so people know who is being raised while it's being cast.

    I think the following:

    - When you hit return, your body should remain on the floor, and disappear in lighting effects (think beaming up on Star Trek and you are in the right ball park) and when you load at the Aetheryte, it should fire a beam of light at your corpse, bringing you back to life.

    - When a player casts resurrect on you, there should be something connecting you with that player (light beams or something) to show others who you are ressing, and your spell cast should be unique for ress too, and not just swinging your arm, in hopes that people see the icon. Even a simple pop up on screen saying "XXXX has resurrected you, would you like to accept: Yes/No" would be great.

    The game has the ability to produce mind numbing graphics, the reason they don't take advantage of this is beyond me.

    These are both good ideas, and I wish I could target dead people without having to go into the spell first.
