hi, i am a new player, need some help with the server selection

i live in Vancouver(west coast Canada). I just start my game at Primal, world Behemoth, but i experience pretty serious net lagging issues(around 200 pings) in game. i heard that the NA server location is in CA. Just wondering which World is better(lower pings) according to my location? Ty.

Hihi, I'm on mateus and live in hawaii but there seems to be a fair amount of Canadians on ths server, population is good and community is great.

The NA/EU servers are located in Montreal. The Japan servers are in Tokyo. You can get the IP address for each server here and check your ping. SE has done a lot to try to decrease lag this past year, so there is a good chance that the problem is your ISP. I recently moved from Utah to Maine and now my connection is actually worse despite being geographically closer to the servers. At my last residence I had to spend six months complaining to my ISP to improve my connection. A number of the fixes SE applied over the last year also helped. Unfortunately, because of how the game was designed any sort of connection problem can be very noticeable.

As for Canadian players, I know several on Sargatanas, so I'm not really sure if there is a segregation between the NA population.

Thank you for the reply, and the link is really helpful. U sure the server is in Montreal? since the server time is 8 hours difference from my local time (PDT). Montreal should be only 3 hour difference.

The NA/EU servers are indeed located in Montreal, but you can check the trace route if you don't believe me. I believe that regardless of the location, the server clock is set to Japan Standard Time.
