Let me warn you a lot of FFXI players think wow is a joke and there players also. I learn this when i play ffxi for 6years no one like blizzard or wow. It's not being rude it just a big % of wow players think that every game should have addon and do everything for you and most of the players are kids so don't take it as rude just how things are over here with ffxi players. I play wow for 2month to see what the big deal with it and i agree wow players are just jokes i did meet a few good people but it's hard to meet good people within your own world.

But anyways reason you not allow to is because this game coming out for ps3 and just like ffxi on ps2 you can't use a addon due to ps2/ps3 can't have them so it's not right for PC having it and not the console so this is the reason for it.

FFXi on the PS2 actually did have a few bots. You could buy a switch mechanism that could fish and craft for you. Later on, once people started installing it on their PS3s, actual programs started coming out for it due to the PS3 being able to use a second OS =p Fun fact for ya lol

Do you think i cared? about bots? i was to busy playing the game anyways how should i know they really had bots for ps2/ps3 when i played on pc? and only played on ps2 for 1year. No need to say it such a smart ass way you know o.o the point of the matter is that am not talking about bots i was talking how SE wont waste there money trying to make addon also work for ps3 due to them being lazy with it so that why it never going to happen in ffxiv.

Just personal opinion, but:

If you're not automating things (like recording mouse movements + button presses + conditions), then you're fine. Square might think otherwise but by toggling certain features in your driver software should not be illegal. I also have a keyboard capable of macros, and I do use them, I've always used them and there is absolutely no way SE, or anyone else could ever know. I'm not using them to bot, I'm not using them to automate, I am simply using features on my modern keyboard. I don't see any problem with it, they don't give me an edge, they simply make the game more comfortable for me to play because the controls in this game are atrocious.

I would personally look down on someone that makes a macro to craft for them, that would be crossing the line, IMO. But just telling your keyboard to repeat a single key when you hold it down or something, I don't see a problem.

April 1st actually, and I didn't even believe Sony when they announced it due to April fools, but I soon learnt it was true when I had to choose between updates and Linux ; ; That update is why I went out and spent £2000 on my current computer. >.<

yeah, you can't "easily" install a separate OS, but with all of the Sony source codes floating around, you can literally install anything on the system.

You basically said "Hey guys, I'm a known botter in one of the easiest, mind numbing, childishly one sided games of all time and I want to know if I can also bot in a game that requires a little more skill. Guys, the game is hard, can I use my bot to cheat and reap the rewards that I did not earn?" The answer is: no. Go back to WoW if you want to bot.
