Hugs for everyone! Even people complaining about stuff (housing).

Ever since version one I have wanted this emote. When the world was ending and farewells were had this was one thing missing that would have made it feel more solid with the goodbyes. Especially since most of those people went on to a new server or made new characters. The expression of a hug is much needed and has been since the start of the game. For those who do actually need that little bit of kindness or want to express their emotion of comfort beyond the somewhat lame and impersonal /comfort.

Right now the forums are ugly and so they should be so that the responses to the patch can be measured by the FFXIV Staff. Still at this point I would like to /hug you guys, especially Yoshi P and the dev team. The forum posters for caring about something so much they can't help what they are saying sometimes (as emotionally filled posts are most of the thread makeup here I guess it's just normal for everyone to be at full tilt one way or another on a hate it or love it scale) and to Yoshi P and the dev team for continuing to work on this game to improve it.

I am looking forward to more. I know I'm not the only one but as a previous forum lurker now forum poster I want to speak for fellow forum lurkers out there who feel the same. If it really is just a few people who feel the same as I do then that's fine. There needs to be people like me too.

Rage on my fellow players and posters, it just shows that you care about something.
