    A rant on the high allagan weapons drop system

    My static is made of all the classes but the Monk
    (PLD - WAR - BRD - DRG - BLM - SMN - SCH - WHM)

    We beat turn9 14 times, and only 4 of us have an high allagan weapon right now on their main job.

    This is what we dropped so far:

    5x BLM
    3x WAR
    2x MNK
    2x DRG
    2x BRD


    This means the PLD, the SMN, the SCH and the WHM still miss their weapons. What's the chance of having only half the weapons after 14 kills?

    Why can't you give us a weapon token that we exchange for the weapon we want? If this wasnt a locked content I'd understand the random, but at this point it's just a frustration.

    They already brought this up, the development team would currently prefer not to go back to a token based system.

    It's safe to assume for the entire of "Coil" in 2.X, we'll have this system, that doesn't mean however that any new raid content in the future can't have a different system.



    Just bad RNG, have to swallow it and deal with it.

    Bad RNG is not getting a ring or chest piece. I think everyone understands that. Bad luck happens and you have to grit and take it sometimes.

    The RNG involved in the only real coil reward is bull pucky and most people agree on that.

    SE has to fix the way HA weapons are rewarded.

    If they insist on keeping some level of randomness, it would be nice if they could limit it to some degree. Particularly for the highest tier where you're subject to lockout. Having one weapon per class seems like it's a bit much, and it's just going to get worse as they add more classes.

    Would be nice to have 3-4 token types that could be traded in for 3-4 token types. IE: 1 token for WAR,PLD,DRG another for WHM,SCH,SMN, and a third for BLM,BRD,MNK ... or something like that.

    .....Then groups would want this applied throughout all locked out content that is downed by a weekly based static........Healer ears and bard belt 5 straight weeks T6.......so are we going to switch that too ?

    Can u trade ur RNG drops with mine, never see that damn HA spear and HA bagnakhs dropped for me!

    Our group had the server first kill and I still don't have a weapon to show for it after 15 weeks. We still have not seen a SCH book, WAR axe, or BRD bow in that time. I hate to say it, but WoW has a far superior loot system that 'feels' rewarding after all that hard work. SE loves to copy WoW systems and yet fails on the principles like this, which to say the least is infuriating week after week. To top it off, all we raiders have now after the welfare epics were handed out in ST are the 115 weapons. The same ones that refuse to drop. :\

    If they're so determined to make weapons 'the' last turn drop, then we need more than one per week. It really is depressing each week to see our raiders go unrewarded and now we've come to realize that despite our efforts, three of us will go this entire tier without ever having one until it's farmable and obsolete. Unacceptable I say.

    Me too would like that lol. It just bad luck. For us is a lot healer gear I think almost all 8 of us can gear healer.

    Tell me about it, lol 5 axs and 3-4 sch books I forget. But they just have to have some RNG element to it to keep you coming back. If they did something like T7 and dropped say a High Allegan tombstone you could finish in just 8 weeks lol.

    I believe my group's current stats are:

    2x PLD
    1x WHM
    6x SMN

    We've worked our asses off to learn the hardest fight in the game and 5/8 (6/8 if you count that the one mains BLM) of our group members have walked away with nothing for our main jobs. Raiding should not be this depressing of an experience. I understand that some RNG motivates players to play more, but when we add up the time it took to learn the fight + the time getting drops no one can use, it doesn't feel very motivating at all.

    I'm sorry, why is this a bad thing? If a group has perfected t9, they deserve to be able to cap it off after two months of raiding.
