Some PLD Gear Help

I very recently made a switch from BLM to PLD to help out my friend's static that suddenly lost both tanks, and I was wondering if someone out there could give me some gear advice.

I managed to go from i76 to i98 in a couple of weeks thanks to hunts, ST, and spending my Sold/Myth wisely (at least I think it was wisely!), but now I'm not really sure what I should focus on.

I know I need a new weapon (using Curtana Zenith at the moment) but I don't have it in me to farm Atma a second time. Would it be a good decision for me to save Sold for two weeks and grab Burtgang (this would also probably mean forgoing any ST armor drops in hopes of getting a Tomestone)?

Or, should I be using my Sold on other pieces and farming Levi for the PLD weapon and a mirror (I'd swap my food from Finger Sandwiches to Lava Toad Legs in this case to stay accuracy capped)?

Weapon. If you aren't willing to go for Relic, you want the Burtgang, as it's the only other i110 option available to you. Completely ignore Levi. It's not worth it. If you must have a interim weapon, just farm Turn 5 for the Allagan Blade.

Get the Burtgang, It was a wise decision and I do not regret it whatsoever.

I'd echo that. I was going to do relic weapon, but got bored of atma. The Burtgang is a good weapon if you're not going down the relic route and cant/haven't cleared T9 for a lucky drop.

I also recommend getting the Burtgang. UAT used to be difficult to get at ST, but lately people pass and only a few people roll for them so they have become much easier.

I got the Novus for the PLD, my main class, but doing the atma, animus, novus for other class is too much for me. I got the 110 soldiery for the BLM and now for the WHM I have the soldiery ilvl100 and need only to hunt a bit more for the upgrade. I'm happy with them.

The advantage of the Novus is we will be able to upgrade it, but you don't know at what grind price.

I personally can't give advice on a paladin weapon (have been considering starting to level one soon), but this quote is so true. I did ST last night on my WHM, and decided to roll on the UAT to be done with ST for the week. Well, I rolled a 5. Thought to myself, crap, ok doing ST again I guess. Well, I won it because no one else wanted it, which really shocked me.

I would recommend Burtgang like JonBigwood said.
then I would recommend body piece and maybe pant or ring.

from what you said you guy have T6 and 7 on farm. so you can wait for Pant to drop from T7 if you want to.

after this, I recommend you decide which BiS you want to go for, PARRY or DET/CRIT and then buy the SoL gear for your BIS. (make sure you maintain healthy amount of ACC tho, you would need 515 for T9 as MT)

I donno how far are you in T8 so you might wanna hold off buying SoL shield. unless you really want tower shield.
