You recommended FarmVille for those who like things simple and vented they are playing the wrong game???

I am sorry but all I see in you that you do have elitism problem yourself.

You posted you know how the end game raids work? Have you ever experienced yourself personally? Be able to maximise the efficiency of the class you are playing while dealing with boss fight mechanics plus the game mechanic with your crappy internet, avoid making mistakes that will wipe the raid, I say in itself is a challenge.

I am sorry but you know naught about this game. You are just another little frog dwelling in his well, thinks he knows it all about outside world without even stepping foot on the outside work.

You are gonna leave the game for a while? A very good decision and I might add coming back again, to you, probably a bad idea. Let me be straight, MMORPG IS NOT FOR YOU. The companies are here to make money, therefore, they will always always have things for casual players, and keep things simple to a certain decree because casual players are much much much more than hardcore player, whether you like it or not. Go play offline games if you want a very challenge game, Dark Soul 2 is a good recommendation.

Then by GW2, u should've known how CoF elitist farmers were much more toxic than any elitist in FF14, and to crush ur dreams, unfortunately not all peeps are WILLING TO LEARN

How you think reading about the game is equal to playing the game is beyond me. There is literally no point in carrying on with a person who doesn't think within the bounds of reason...

If you want to play a game where they don't sacrifice creativity in favor of game balance, then this game is nominally not for you (Try Wurm Online).

Point is, this game is the perfect game for people who are trying to continue to play in a Multiverse that is largely already defined and planned out. That Multiverse being the Final Fantasy Series Multiverse. Trying to tell the Games Producers how to change the game so that it is more in line with what you think it should look like is a surefire way to piss off the die hard fans of the Final Fantasy Franchise, nothing more, nothing less.

Yes, there are some things the developers and producers of this game could have done to make it feel MORE like a Final Fantasy game (such as giving Summoners traditional Summons). But the way it is set up now is perfectly fine.

Also, Square-Enix most assuredly had a Demographic in mind when they designed this game. EVERYONE has a Demographic in mind when they make any product that they intend to market. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to market it in the first place. You do know what a Marketable Demographic is right? In the case of Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn the marketable demographic was at the very least Fans of Final Fantasy XI specifically and of the Final Fantasy Series in general as a larger whole demographic.

Your Archer is Level 4. That means you only just got Raging Strikes. Your level 50 is an Arcanist, which I assume means that you have Summoner at your disposal. Summoner is one of the two jobs that can make use of Archer's skills as Cross-Class skills. The fact that you only have Raging Strikes available to your Summoner means that you are seriously gimped.

It is even worse because you don't have Quelling Strikes as a level 50 Summoner. Summoner is one of the main classes that can quite regularly pull hate off of the main tank thanks to the use of the "Bane" Spell. If you are not using Quelling Strikes in conjunction with your debuffs and Bane then you are regularly going to be pulling hate off of your tank.

Fortunately you do have Swiftcast. Unfortunately your Conjurer is only level 15 which means you don't have access to Stoneskin which is imminently important for a Scholar to have at their disposal.

Please don't try to kid us by claiming that you "know how endgame is" because it is quite evident that you haven't got a clue simply by the fact that you aren't using your potential abilities to their fullest capabilities. I know I am being somewhat of a hypocrite right now as my main job is a Bard and I don't actually have Pugilist leveled up high enough for me to access Mantra. However Mantra is such a lack luster skill in comparison to both Stoneskin & Quelling Strikes that it just isn't a real comparison between the three abilities.

Also, regarding your secondary statement that it is really cool when a few weak links die and the remaining group pulls through and wins the fight despite the weak links. I will marginally agree with you. But only when the weak links aren't purposefully sabotaging the groups attempt like YOU would be.

I have only watched a video for the Titan (Extreme) fight... and I can tell you right now that there is absolutely no bloody way you could talk me into taking a Caster of any sort into that fight. It just won't be happening. Melee classes would only be marginally better. No, the only class you could reasonably talk me into taking into that fight would be my Bard due to the insane mobility that class has at it's disposal. And even then odds are I will die numerous times before I ever get the win.

I'm sure I sound like I have high standards lol, but I really love the game how it is, I guess I don't say that enough. But at the same time I get excited about how far this mmo could go, and I really think it could be ground-breaking in the future, and I get out of hand with my posts. But nonetheless I love the game, always will, I'll just end off saying that

Then why did you even make this thread in the first place?

And as for this game being ground-breaking in the future? I doubt it. The Final Fantasy Franchise as a whole is fundamentally a J-RPG Franchise. This means that no matter how different from the standard J-RPG this game may be, it is still a J-RPG with all the things that are entailed with being a part of that overarching genre.

This means that innovation of new ideas and formula for the game is just not something that you will be able to expect with the game as J-RPG's are a largely formulaic genre. No for new innovations and ideas you are going to largely be looking at Sandbox (Wurm Online) and Western-Style (Guild Wars 2) RPG's.

Well I suppose I just think it will because the main developers all talk about how innovative they want the game to be in the future, mostly Yoshida from what I've heard and read in interviews. They even talked about somewhere along the line trying something like a 4v1 Evolve style, since Yoshida really liked the idea of the pvp design, but of course that's a whiles away.

I suppose my answer to your question is that I bothered because I don't doubt that this game could become big in the future, they have the resources and the team to do it. so I get a bit carried away with my opinions/feedback XD. In the end though it's not worth all this arguing, just like the game.
