Is it me, or something seems really wrong about this?
Rather funny, really! I was eyeballing them, and unsure if I wanted to trade off the small increase in control over CP. Being able to use them to continue to get the oaknots would have pushed me to buy them. Guess it's not happening now heh. Until they fix it anyway.

Edit: Nevermind, you can't desynth these.

This ^^^ I discarded the quest gloves thinking there was no need for them anymore. Only to realize the i70 Smithing gloves dont qualify as the appropriate gloves to craft the Beastmen Items! This is definately not working as intended imo and needs to be patched soon.
Who are you to say what is or is not working as intended? It could very well be the case that the i70 gloves were never intended to be usable in crafting beastman recipes. If anything, this is your fault for failing to notice that the i70 gloves don't say "Must be equipped to craft certain Ixali recipes."
Either way, don't you realize what that text implies? It implies that the Ehcatl Wristgloves are the only items that allow this because it says "Must be equipped" instead of a more neutral phrase such as "Can be used to craft certain Ixali recipes while equipped." If we go by the evidence we currently have in the game, it's more likely that this is absolutely intended than a developer oversight. But, who are we to know? We aren't the developers.

"IMO" - Last i checked, everyone has a right to that. The quest gloves are 127gil. Nothin to cry over! Having to waste an item slot for lvl 1 beastmen gloves when we have achieved max Rank not to mention obtained the Pro variants of said gloves is just funny which is the point of this thread.
To get the opinions of other players on the topic, in hopes of perhaps getting the Dev's attention. QOL improvements would never happen if we all just bent over and accepted everything the dev's implemented as gospel.
While in most cases the notion of opinion can justify your argument here, you fail to do so in this case. Your exact words were "This is definately not working as intended imo and needs to be patched soon.". Let's analyze this sentence.
"This is definately not working as intended" : At this point, all that can be seen is that you're expressing a fact.
"imo" : Oh, it's an opinion. Okay.
"and needs to be patched soon." : In stating this, aren't you saying that your opinion is correct? That's the same as saying it's a fact.
This flip flopping showed that you tried to disguise something you presented as a fact as an opinion, and I saw right through it. This isn't a matter of bowing down and assuming that the developers do the right thing all the time. This is a matter of you failing to properly state an opinion as exactly what it is: an opinion. The sentence "This is definitely not working as intended and it needs to be patched soon" is a statement that you're presenting as correct, implying that you know better than the developers. The sentence "I think that the i70 Ixal Smithing Gloves should let us craft Ixali recipes" is a statement of opinion that asks the developers to reconsider something they've already done. Inserting "imo" into the first one doesn't automatically make it the latter. It just makes you look silly.
Agreed. Bloody annoying!
Hope it was an oversight that can be fixed and not a practical issue, eg that the i70 gloves can't have any more/that type of abilities attached to them.
I think its pretty safe to say that you missing the point of this thread makes you look silly sir!
And you missed the fact that I've already completely and deliberately derailed the initial conversation with our little discourse here, meaning that the original point of the thread stopped being fully relevant. It stopped merely having to do with the notion that it's silly that the i70 gloves don't let us craft Ixali recipes(the original point of the thread) the second I pressed "Post Reply" the first time to protest your incorrect wording to attempt to express an opinion. Again, you're using something frequently used to justify certain actions in an incorrect manner. Bravo.
