    I use a debit card gaming needs. My subscription ran out yesterday, renewed it today with that same card, all good. But when I try to use it on any other services, it says the card is "unregistered" despite it being available for use for the subscription.

    Before though, you didn't need to "register" a credit/card or something, you were able to buy things directly. Choose what you want to buy, input your details at that time, done deal. All this roundabout way of paying is literally annoying, plus you can't even pay with paypal, the easiest form of payment recognised globally.

    It's like SEs customer service, it's terrible. They need to have better control over that and better response. SEs customer service has lack for years, especially during the FFXI years. SE is a large company, they should be able to resolve this matter relatively fast. It's been going on for years and it's a disappointment. I don't want to look for alternative ways to pay. SE has failed to acknowledge the problem really and how they plan to fix it. Especially for a problem that has been happening for over a year. It's the same problem that still exists with 90k errors in the game. They just make a thread and say this is official thread, post here.

    This echoes my thoughts. I've also written some software utilizing payment processors and we always had a (long) list of error codes that would be returned and what those codes mean. This entire system is ridiculous. Especially when I contact my financial institution and they're saying that there was nothing wrong happening on their end.

    I just found this... My wife and I are upset over this news No more Ultimate Pay Why can't SE just add paypal?

    [Important] Removal of PlaySpan payment options
    This is a notice to all customers who use PlaySpan as a method of payment to purchase Crysta.

    As you already may be aware, PlaySpan retired the Ultimate Game Card and UltimatePoints at the end of September 2014. This means it is no longer possible to purchase Crysta using these 2 options.

    The last day to redeem retail Ultimate Game Card codes was September 29, 2014 but UltimatePoints can be redeemed up until October 31, 2014. For additional information regarding the retirement of these options and using your remaining UltimatePoints, please visit the appropriate link below.

    In light of this news, we have also decided to remove all PlaySpan payment options from the Mog Station and Square Enix Account Management System with immediate effect.     I was trying to say that maybe something went wrong when they removed PlaySpan and therefore caused the problems, not that it might have fixed them.

    By the way, players from Germany and Austria got those errors too. While my payment worked fine, theirs didn't and they are/were using the same method as me D:
