So after the first Relic...

Okay, this may have been asked in another thread, but if it was I didn't see it.

I know there has been much aggravation and pain over the relic grind. I'm experiencing it myself. However, the thing that really makes me cringe inside is the prospect of doing the exact same grind for every single job.

I'm not particularly in love with all the jobs, but I would enjoy having at least the relic armor and weapon(s) for each of them. And if I happen to enjoy more than one class (say Bard and Warrior) I have to go through the extremely long, and painful, ATMA grind and so on from there. Which I'm pretty sure makes most people who have done it once want to curl up in a ball and cry.

So my question is this... Can we find a way to make it so subsequent relics aren't as painful to get? Like maybe make the ATMA crystals you get once useable for all of them? Or the books apply more than once perhaps?

Good suggestion but currently get ready for the pain. The other option is grind ATMA continuously, collecting enough stones from each area to level up all ALT classes. While this will still take "forever" at the pain is limited one long session of your gaming experience.

I've actually considered that option, if I can find the bag space for it, and I may go ahead and do it. Maybe. Depending on how agonizing one set is to get. I just thought I'd throw the thought out there since Square seems determined to keep upgrading the relics, and eventually it'll get to a point where the whole mess isn't worth the aggravation to do once let alone 9 or more times.

There are alternate weapons to get that are generally as good or better than the current relic phase. I am working on getting the relic zenith for each job and then getting alternate weapons from either coil, ex primals, UAT or whatever else comes in the future. Unless you are determined to go the relic route for all jobs, in which case i wish you the best of luck.

Honestly, I would just say to do the FULL relic grind to Novus on your main job, and maybe one side job. Other than that, I would stick to getting UAT sol weapons/Ramuh/Levi/Coil/etc weapons for all of your other classes. Or you could be lazy like me and just get the UAT weapon for your main class and casually grind to Novus on your alt...

lol that's not a bad idea either! In fact, that sounds much more palatable than trying to do all of them. Though I might yet do the basic relic quest for some of my jobs. I really like the art design on many of those weapons...

yea just do full relics for main/side job
i love tanking so i have PLD novus done and WAR is at 60/75 atm
BRD i just grabbed a UAT from ST and made a rosenbogen with HUNT spam

casually atma farming im 7/12 for "future" jobs lol

after doing this whole farce of a process for my main the answer is a big fat nope for a 2nd attempt...if they ease up on the way to get atma/alex then maybe

Took me 4 weeks to beat Coil 6-8.

Currently in the 3rd month of working on my relic starting from ATMA --> Novus.

So yeah...

I believe they are easing the atma rate drop very soon. I'm just waiting.
