    You mean the future weapons that already exist within the realm of Eorzea?
    The future weapon that a character seeking the power of darkness wields?
    The scythe that is actually a farmers tool and is in game already for Botanists?

    It's hardly future technology. It's grabbing a sword and slapping a gunpowder device onto it. It isn't even conceivable in any sort of scientific sense, which is why it's fantasy.


    There's even already a basis for what sort of skills the player could have with a gunblade. Given Irvine's various bullets in FF8 and the Magic Junction system, it isn't inconceivable for the Dark Knight to be some sort of debilitating Job, which is what it was in XI wasn't it? (I haven't played XI so I am not laying that out as solid info).
