Rank 10 Chocobo Barding

Hi everyone, just a couple questions regarding the Rank 10 Chocobo Barding for you. Also if one of the devs could comment on my last question if they have the time I would be extremely grateful.

I'm Rank 9 now, so was just wondering:

When you hit Rank 10, do you need to do anything special to get the barding?

Is the barding automatically in the chocobo's gear section, or do you need to use the item from your inventory?

And finally, when they give us the option to reset our chocobo's skill points (in 2.3 I think?) if I have not used the barding, can I exchange it for one of the other Rank 10 bardings?

I think you get the barding in your inventory the time you use the rank 10 skill point. There is no achievement for barding (but for outfit there is), so you wouldn't need to talk with the achievement person in Gridania. Not completely sure about it being automatically in your inventory though, but it's the most logical reasoning here without achievement.

About reseting chocobo skill points, I'd like to know this point aswell. I got a "tank" chocobo that I highly regret now. I was told to make a tank chocobo because I was a healer, when I joined the game. Seeing the WHM barding later made me regret it so much. My chocobo doesn't even tank ... I'll just keep my chocobo at rank 9 until they let us reset our points I guess.

That's what I feared. So (unless SE can clarify otherwise?) I'm guessing my best bet would be to just not Rank up until the skill reset arrives. As I want the WHM barding not the DRG one.

Why would it matter if you ranked up to 10 before the chocobo respec? It would probably be like all the grand company bardings where you can't equip it unless you are a member of the company. So if you got rank 10 as a whm, got the barding, then switched to DD and got that barding, you will probably still have the whm set you just can't equip it.

Because we don't know if all bardings are unlockable? I don't want to get the DRG one, only to find out I can't ever get the WHM one because I already have the DRG one.

Just wanting to point out that the DRG set comes from Attacker rank 10, not Tank rank 10. Just so people aren't mislead.

Why would people be misled? I have an Attacker chocobo. I know I didn't say that before, but I didn't say I had a Tank one either.

I think you'll be ok. If it appears like it does when you hit rank 10, odds are it's the same when you respec your chocobo.

At the very least, I don't think you'd keep the drg one AND get the whm one. I'm quite certain your whm one will take away the drg one if you respec.
