Do you regret your name choice?

Despite being a lore-based Roegadyn name, I get the feeling some people are wondering if I'm RMT when they first see it. I still like it though.

No regrets at all, have had the same name for my main in MMO's for going on 14 years now. Although when I first created her I think I spent nearly 2 hours trying to figure out an original name. Of course that is just for her first name, her last name is the patron god of her class from the first MMO I used her in.

That's because you are reading it correctly. You need to remove 3 consecutive letters and replace them with 2 others to misread it. I had to actually think about it like a word puzzle.

This name as been stuck to me for almost 20 years now. Started out as my OC. When XI released it was the name I went with until 2008 (to which I did a very regrettable thing to my account ._. ). Nope, can't say I regret it at all. I'm happy with my character name

Started as a moon cat and thought I'd never change. Bought one fantasia just for giggles. Changed to an elezen and intended to only stay that way for a few months. Well, after only a month I decided I want to stay elezen. Name doesn't fit. Have another semi-neutral name picked out already.

I'd be happy with a one time use veteran rewards name change potion or something.

My only regret is not thinking about how hard it would be for other people to type. I may have picked something with a shorter "first name" otherwise. That's what I get for trying to trying an actual transliteration - 熱心な火災

My name is pretty symbolic to me since i've sorta built up my characters own little private backstory, so nope I don't regret my name choice at all.

You'll be happy to know that Yoshida came to that decision a long time ago already, back when it was decided to make Fantasia an unlimited supply for everyone. He said that he feels players who change race should be able to adjust their name, should they want to keep following the naming conventions of the new race they are choosing. The name change feature is currently in SE's To-Do list.

I made my name up for my blood elf priest at the release of The Burning Crusade. Fairytails has been my character name since then (now it's two separate names). The only problem is people think immediately of the Fairy Tail manga when they see it, but that doesn't matter I know where my name started.

Nope. Have and will always be a Nep Nep. x3 There's alot of well known players who also seem to have this name also. xD At least in my data center. People confuse me for them alot. XD
