I'm far from burned out, there are still many things I enjoy doing in the game. But honestly, I'd rather quit than go through it all again just for the sake of doing it on another class.
If you're only doing content to complete it or to get rewards, you may need to look at why you play MMOs in general. The games you are playing should be fun in and of themselves. You should be smiling as you dodge plumes/landslides etc. Playing the game should be enjoyable in its own right. Not just a means to a reward.

Oh no, I do enjoy my content. But you see, some battles and dungeons in this game have to be completed over and over. Some dungeons and encounters I've completed hundreds of times. And this is only to gear up ONE class. It really is beyond my understanding how people can still find it fun after doing it so many times.

If you no longer find it fun, you should probably stop doing it.

It's beyond my understanding how people can endlessly do things they don't find fun.

A lot of it's a problem of being on the bleeding edge of content.

You will have needed to spam Turns 1-5 every week to kit out your static because it rewarded what was BIS at the time. New players only need to win once to progress. They can get full i90 in an afternoon of hunts. They can be over i90 which was the cap back then.

Someone starting now will only need to beat Ifrit, Garuda and Titan HM once to get their relic. We used to spam them for their weapons for progression. Likewise Amdapor Keep etc.

Like everyone here has already said, you are the only person who can decide what is fun for you. If it's feeling stale, just change what you do on a daily basis. I see lots of forum posts about people missing the "good ole days" of learning the fights without watching a video and making lasting friends in game because of the bond you get from trying and failing over and over and then finally getting that win. If you like dungeons/coil but are getting sick of just going in repeating the same old steps, try going as a different class. Or even better, take on a mentor role for a new player/start a new static with people who haven't done coil to help teach them.

At the end of the day none of us get anything for playing the game, just like every other video game. There is no tangible reward, but for me, the friends you make while playing are the reward (I'm still friends with the core group of people I played FF11).

I guess the question that needs to be asked is: What do you consider fun? Some people think its "fun" to watch golf. Me, not so much... I think its fun to see how many marshmallows i can put in my mouth. Others, not so much. Fun is a very subjective term and I don't thing anyone can tell you what you should be having "fun" doing.

Once you get to the point where you are not having fun, why continue? Its fun to stand close to the fire but once the fire is burning much brighter and starts to burn, it is no longer fun and I must step away from it for a while and cool off. Wait for the fire to change and die down, then I can have fun by the fire again.

If you choose to label all the other choices out there "NO FUN"... then you are done with the game in your own eyes. Why come here and ask us to convince you otherwise?

Is any game fun to people who say it is "NO FUN"? I hate slots at the casinos or any casino/gambling games and they are no fun to me, and so I don't go to places like Vegas because it is no fun. I am sure there will plenty who will tell me otherwise, but they will never convince me.

Bottom line, FUN is subjective. It is what you bring to the game more so than what the game externally provides. Dungeons, open worlds, raids, dailies, crafting, etc. etc. are just game pieces.

There is one aspect that is unique to MMO and that exceed the limits of pieces of that the game provide, that is you can make friends and help other people. Work together build a community But then again that is subjective too, if you find that fun.
